Let Poker Shortcuts Make Your Life Easier

If you are looking for ways to make your life easier at the tables, then we have definitely found a product for you.  Recently, a brand new piece of software called Poker Shortcuts was released, offering automation of over 100 common tasks.  This product just may offer the most number of tools and shortcuts that we have ever seen out of automation software.  Poker Shortcuts supports Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars and has received the “OK” from both, so it's 100% legal to use.

Poker Shortcuts is controlled using a very slick graphical user interface (GUI) with tournament and cash game support:

Although we can't cover all 100+ features of the software in this article, let’s dive into some of the highlights:

Street Betting
Street betting allows you define bet sizes for action pre-flop, post-flop, on the turn, and on the river.  This automatic betting option is calculated based on the percent of the pot.  For example, if your normal continuation bet is two-thirds of the pot, then that amount will be automatically loaded into the betting window on the flop and the program will wait for you to execute.  You can also change the bet amount on the fly by using your mouse wheel.  With several tables going, this is a big time saver.

Fixed Betting
Fixed betting gives you the option of having five hotkeys to place a bet size that you pre-define in the software.  The fixed betting option lets you bet based on a percentage of the pot, number of big blinds, number of small blinds, or a specific dollar amount. With only five hotkeys, you have the flexibility to have 15 different bet sizes because you can configure Poker Shortcuts to recognize multiple key strokes, so pressing the hotkeys one, two, or three times gives you up to 15 different bet sizes.

Betting Displays
The bet display gives you the option of having your bet size in dollars and/or percentage of the pot.  This display can be customized and shown anywhere you’d like.  If there are different themes that do not work well with the display’s location, you can easily move it where you need it to be.  Also, if you do not like the font style or color, then you can change that as well. Here’s a sneak peak:

Stack Displays
Perhaps one of the nicest features of this software is the ability to change the way that your stack information is displayed.  If you play a lot of multi-table tournaments and/or sit and gos, knowing your stack size in terms of “M” or number of big blinds is very important.  With Poker Shortcuts, you know instantly how many big blinds or “M” you have left and the current blind levels.  You also have a timer that lets you know how long the fold button has been viewable, so you can always act using the same amount of time.

For those of you who play solid push/fold poker when the stacks get short, you usually have a certain threshold where you start open shoving.  Poker Shortcuts allows you to change the color of the font in the display so that you know if you should begin pushing with your stack.  If you like to start open shoving with 10 big blinds, then you will simply set the display to change to a different color when you reach that point.  There is no longer a need to calculate every table that you are short-stacked on to see where you stand with “M” or big blinds.  Color-coding makes it really simple for you.

Getting Chips
This option automatically clicks the “OK” button in the dialogue box that pops up when you buy into a cash game table.  This small feature allows you to move on to register for another table instead of waiting to click the “OK” button.

Activate and Highlight
This features gives you the option of activating and highlighting the table that needs attention.  With this option, you can set the program to move your mouse to the table needing attention automatically, which saves you time and cuts back on the dreaded misclick.  You can also have the table highlighted with a box around it in any color that you’d like.  Finding out which tables require action will no longer be a problem.

Other Features
· Sit and Go registration
· Resize your tables
· One-click table rearranging (using the Custom Table Layout feature of the poker software)
· Automatically "Wait for Big Blind" when taking a seat
· Automatically “Deal Me Out”
· Automatically close dialog boxes
· Automatically log in and close dialog boxes
· Open player notes with one mouse click
· Auto time bank option
