StarsStacker Makes Moving Tables a Breeze

For sometime now, playing large volumes of tables on PokerStars has been the norm for many readers of this site.  However, paying close attention to the hands you are involved in can be difficult with new tables constantly popping up requiring action.  Some players cascade their tables, while others tile them.  Whatever the case may be, paying close attention to the three or four tables out of 24 that you are actually pushing the action in can be tough.

Some players do not make any adjustments to their stack of tables while playing, while others like to drag action windows to the side so that they can pay close attention.  The only problem with this is that you risk mis-clicking and timing out every time you attempt to drag a table out of the way.  If we only had a program that would move our tables aside automatically if we are involved in a hand!  Well, once again, thanks to a great AutoHotKey (AHK) program, moving tables out of our stack will be easier than ever.

StarsStacker is a free, open source AHK script that allows you to move tables in and out of your stack and resize them.  Moving a couple of tables aside so that you can actually study what’s going on will definitely increase your EV at the tables.

Here is how you get started using StarsStacker:

1) Get a copy of Stars Stacker.
2) Open a new .ahk file, paste the code into it, and save
3) Once saved, you will need to edit the script so that your desired hotkeys are used.  Right-click and edit the file.
4) Check out a list of hotkeys.
5) Set your hotkeys, table positions, save, and close.

An example setup might look something like this:

WheelDown::MoveWindow(0, 100, 483, 354)

This simply means that every time you push the "WheelDown" on your mouse, it will move your active window to (0, 100) with a window size of 483x354, which is PokerStars' smallest size.  To find out the coordinates of your desired location, launch the Window Spy program that is included in the AHK software package.  Once launched, simply point your mouse to the location that you want your table to move to and it will tell you the coordinates, which you can load into the script’s settings.

What about moving more than one table to a different location?  You will simply add another line of code into the script, which may look something like this:

WheelDown::MoveWindow(0, 575, 483, 354)
WheelUp::MoveWindow(700, 575, 483, 353)

There is no limit as to how many locations you can assign.  If you want five different locations to move tables to, you will just need to have five different hotkeys and locations assigned in the script.

Setting up StarsStacker isn't as difficult as it might sound.  Once you get the script set up, you will not be sorry.

How many times have you been in a hand where you raised pre-flop only to instantly have more tables pop up and cover your table where you have a big hand?  While folding on the other tables, you wonder things like, “Did he insta 3-bet me?” “Did he time bank raise me?” “Did he insta call?” “What are his stats like?”  Having the answers to these questions can be very valuable.  With the help of StarsStacker, you will be able to pay more attention to the important tables in your stack by moving them out of the way.  Give it a shot!  It’s free and guaranteed to help you stay focused on the important hands in your sessions.

As always, if you have questions, problems, or any other concerns, please make a post in the AHK forum and we will be there to help.
