Tournament Poker Edge Adds Two New Pros

The roster of pros at the popular poker training site Tournament Poker Edge just got a little bit bigger. Joining the crew in recent days were Tom “ttwist” Kelly and Shaun “Cougars4444” Hendrickson, who were courted due to their superior results in low- and mid-stakes multi-table tournaments (MTT).

A press release distributed by Tournament Poker Edge explains the credentials of the two new instructors: “‘Ttwist’ and ‘Cougars’ were brought on board for their expertise in low- and mid-stakes tournaments, which are in high demand from TPE members, as well as their ability to teach and explain MTT concepts.”

Kelly is from Canada and, back in April, he took down the PokerStars Sunday Second Chance for $55,000. The high-stakes weekly Sunday Major boasts a $215 buy-in and regularly attracts the game’s top tournament players. Last November, Kelly final tabled the Full Tilt Poker Sunday Mulligan for $26,000 and two months later won the UB.com $40,000 Sniper Guarantee for another $10,000.

Kelly is a married father of two and has successfully been able to balance poker with parenting. He was introduced to the game at age 18 by his brother and began hitting the No Limit Hold’em tables in earnest in 2005.

The same press release details his next move: “In 2006, Tim started playing online, mostly at PokerStars at the micro-low stakes, trying to learn the game. After winning a small satellite to the Sunday Million and subsequently finishing 119th, along with another deeper run a couple months later, he was hooked.” He has since racked up 125 final tables and banked $400,000 from the poker felts over his career.

Hendrickson hails from Florida and took down the PokerStars Daily Eighty Grand in January for $18,000. Six years ago, he got his start in the game by playing on PartyPoker during college. He’s absolutely dominated low-limit freezeouts, turning in $100,000 profits in freezeouts with buy-ins of $50 or less. He also has multiple wins in the $20 rebuy on Full Tilt to his credit.

The addition of Kelly and Hendrickson brings the current roster of pros at Tournament Poker Edge to six. Joining the pair are Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek, Ryan “HITTHEPANDA” Franklin, Jonathan “Wein” Wein, and “Hagbard Celine.” As its name implies, Tournament Poker Edge specializes in providing top-tier instruction in online poker tournaments.

In addition to inking new pros, Tournament Poker Edge opened a store selling branded hoodies, shirts, and hats. You can even nab a limited edition “Ship It to the Bigdog” shirt while supplies last.

Patty, I couldn't agree more. I was thkining about this just today, how we (American's) take so much crap when all we need to do is just eat well and exercise. I was thkining, I'm anti-antidepressants. I felt a little bummed for about an hour (because we are still in a rental), so I decided to go to Zumba and it was just what I needed. Not only did the blues go away, I was on a natural high love exercising!! I started my half marathon training the foots giving me problems (but only when I'm not exercising), so I'm not giving up.
