HH Dealer Nearing 1.5 Billion Hands Mined

1.5 billion hands. Yes, billion – with a “B.” That’s how many HH Dealer has mined from the world’s largest and most popular online poker sites during its existence. Over the past seven days, HH Dealer has mined nearly 40 million hands alone, with the total currently standing at 1,483,916,564. That’s a lot of hands.

Players can supplement their hand history databases in Holdem Manager, PokerTracker, or Poker Office by importing hands from HH Dealer. In May, HH Dealer added the Merge Gaming Network, whose flagship site is Carbon Poker, to its lineup. You can also find hands from PokerStars and PartyPoker, among others. The dataming site stocks No Limit hands from $0.10/$0.20 tables and up and Limit hands from $0.25/$0.50 games and up.

You can find Hold’em and Omaha hands on HH Dealer. Site officials explain why having additional hands in your database can give you a leg up of sorts at the table: “Poker is a game of imperfect information. Thus, the more information you have, the higher your advantage will be. We offer the information to make your opponent not to be unknown anymore. Thus, you can make the correct decisions at the poker table and raise your profit!”

In case you’re wondering, because we definitely were, HH Dealer has imported nearly a million No Limit Hold’em hands from PokerStars per day over the last 14 days. On PartyPoker, the average number of new No Limit Hold’em hands per day was between 150,000 and 250,000, while on Merge it was around 200,000.

There are two ways to obtain hands from HH Dealer, a bulk purchase or a monthly purchase. The former allows you to specify the online poker room, game type, stakes, table size, and number of hands. Once you do so, you’ll be taken to a page containing what looks like an Excel spreadsheet that allows you to refine your search.

When you’re done, you’ll pay via PayPal, Webmoney, Neteller, or Moneybookers and HH Dealer will send a download link for your specified hands within 24 hours of payment.

If you select a monthly purchase, you’ll follow a similar path and even be able to see a coverage graph for your selected game. This graph shows the number of hands of your selected game that were imported over the last 30 days. The “best day” and “worst day,” according to the number of hands imported, are identified along with the total count and daily average.

In June, HH Dealer released a new version of its HH Loader client, fixing a bug involving the unzipping of Merge hand histories. The software update also added an “autopilot” mode, which will check for new HH Dealer hand histories once per hour. HH Loader makes it simple to download and import any hand histories you purchase from the datamining site.

Following Black Friday, HH Dealer suspended its CEREUS Network support. Shortly thereafter, it stopped mining Full Tilt Poker hands, claiming, “There is not enough customer and demand to cover our cost, hence there will be no Full Tilt hand histories in the next two months. We will reconsider our decision in about two months and then probably start to datamine Full Tilt again.”

At the end of June, HH Dealer’s decision to halt Full Tilt Poker support was made moot by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission temporarily suspending Full Tilt’s gaming license. A hearing is scheduled for July 26th in London to discuss its transgressions. In the meantime, Full Tilt’s felts remain vacant.
