PokerTracker Issuing More Beta Preview Codes to PokerSoftware Readers

Due to popular demand, PokerTracker, one of the top poker database programs in existence, is offering another 100 Beta Preview codes to readers of PokerSoftware. This is your last chance to take part in the Beta Preview process, which is quickly winding to a close as PokerTracker gets set to roll out a Public Beta of its fourth incarnation, ultimately leading to a commercial release. PokerTracker is one of our favorite programs out there and we strongly encourage any software enthusiast to grab a code before they’re all gone.

The 100 Beta Preview codes will be given out on a first come, first served basis. You’ll need to create a free PokerTracker website user account in order to take part. This account will also allow you to participate in PokerTracker forum discussions, comment on blog posts and videos, and receive personalized support, all of which you can continue to enjoy even after the Beta Preview is over.

Text found on PokerTracker’s website explains the purpose of the Beta Preview: “This preview is open to the general public for users who wish to provide guidance and feedback to the developers as we prepare for the full Public Beta scheduled for January 2012. PokerTracker 4 is the most comprehensive and easy-to-use suite of tracking and analysis tools for online poker.”

Right now, only Windows machines are supported in PokerTracker’s Beta Preview. If you have a Windows computer and decide to take part, you’ll be asked to report any bugs you see, as the program is still in Beta testing, so you could encounter some. You’ll also need to be an existing PokerTracker 3 user, which is important because existing users can easily understand PokerTracker’s verbiage, layout, and overall feel.

Again, Beta Preview testers will likely run into bugs. It happens, and the Beta testing process is designed to iron out as many errors as possible before PokerTracker 4 hits its full-blown commercial release sometime in the future. Being able to Beta test such a goliath of a program is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we’re thrilled that PokerTracker’s developers were generous enough to give PokerSoftware readers another 100 slots in the Beta Preview.

PokerTracker representative Steven McLoughlin posted in the PokerSoftware forum, “We need your feedback to deliver the best user experience we can provide for future PokerTracker 4 users! Good luck, please share your experiences with us. Good luck and thank you for your support of PokerTracker 4.” The initial Beta Preview was rolled out in December.

We want your feedback. Feel free to post about your testing experience, and the PokerTracker 4 software in general, by visiting the thread in the PokerSoftware forum.
