PokerTableRatings Launches Betfair Premier Cup

Playing out starting this month is the PokerTableRatings Betfair Premier Cup. This isn’t the first time that PokerTableRatings has teamed up with an online poker site, as PokerSoftware has written plenty of articles about PTR working with PartyPoker. Now, the site’s staff is fixated on Betfair, which makes its home on the Ongame Network. Let’s see what all of the fuss is about.

PokerTableRatings is shelling out $15,000 in prizes during the eight-week promotion on Betfair, including an autographed Manchester United jersey and box seats to watch the team take on Sunderland at Old Trafford. All you have to do is create an account on Betfair through PokerTableRatings and you’ll be tracked. PTR’s website has a very simple step-by-step process in order to do so, and then you’ll be eligible to take home a slice of soccer glory.

Two grand prizes are available and at the end of each “half” as PTR calls it, or four-week period. The player with the highest point total during the first half will win a team-signed Manchester United jersey along with $500 in cash. The winner of the second half gets box seats to watch the Manchester United match against Sunderland along with fully covered travel expenses.

At the end of every week of the Betfair Premier Cup, prizes will be given away. The top weekly scorer will receive their choice of a 16 GB Apple iPad 2 or a 15" Intel i3 Samsung notebook computer.

The second place scorer gets their choice of a 160 GB Sony PlayStation 3 or Beats by Dr. Dre Studio HD headphones. We’ve seen plenty of poker players at live tables with the latter, which we know will be a popular selection.

Finally, the third place finisher each week gets a Reebok sports bag. As an important note for those of you who want to play, after each week, the weekly points will reset to zero. After the first half, the total points will reset to zero. So, each combatant will be on a level playing field after every week and every half.

You might be wondering how you get points in the Betfair Premier Cup. So were we. As text found on PokerTableRatings.com explains, “Two jerseys will be revealed each week. The first week will begin with two jerseys, while the final week will allow players to earn any of the eight revealed jerseys to earn points.” The first half jerseys are as follows, and you can get more information about qualifying for each one by visiting PTR’s website:

Week 1: March 2nd to 8th
Heroic Save (25 points): Call a river bet with king-high or less and win
Bend it Like Rooney (25 points): Win a hand with hole cards 10 and 7

Week 2: March 9th to 15th
Crazy Fan (25 points): Play 1,000 hands in a single day
Bet the Farm (50 points): Win a hand in which you make a minimum of six bets and/or raises when not in the small blind or big blind

Week 3: March 16th to 22nd
Full Roster (50 points): Win a pot where five or more players see a flop
Player Salary (50 points): Win a pot that is 25 or more big bets in Limit or 400 or more big blinds in No Limit

Week 4: March 23rd to 29th
Family Feud (100 points): Win a pot where four or more players go to showdown
Team Colors (100 points): Win a pot where the community cards are all the same suit

The first week began on Friday, so there’s still plenty of time for you to rack up points in the PokerTableRatings Betfair Premier League. Only $0.05/$0.10 No Limit or Pot Limit games and $0.25/$0.50 Limit games on Betfair are eligible. And remember, your Betfair account must be tracked to Poker Table Ratings in order to play.

The second half jerseys have not yet been announced, but the second part of the promotion will run from April 6th to May 3rd. Visit our Poker Table Ratings review for more details on this unique contest.

Most people cmapore the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it can be, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller cmapored to touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and also lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

QuotesChimp is safe to say that a great many people in this country are very unhappy about insurance. Some are angry with their individual companies, some with the insurance industry in general, and a great many more with both. True, part of this dissatisfaction is caused by insurance company practices and procedures and by weaknesses in the area of regulation (see Post 39). But too many consumers have only themselves to blame because of the poor manner in which they have gone about the task of shopping for insurance coverage.
