Hand HQ, which has sold over a billion online poker hand histories to more than 10,000 players, has recently added 888 Poker to its list of supported sites. The Hand HQ list also includes PokerStars.com, PokerStars.fr, PokerStars.it, OnGame.com, OnGame.fr, Ongame.it, the iPoker Network, PartyPoker, the Entraction Network, and the Merge Gaming Network.

It's hard to argue that the more information an online poker player has while competing at the virtual tables, the more likely he is to increase his hourly win rate.

The edge to having possession of datamined hands is significant when it comes to online cash games, and having as large of a sample size as possible on each opponent can come in very handy when using poker database programs that have become the norm among professionals.

Not only can you use the information you've obtained from hand histories to identify fish more easily, but you can also exploit players' weaknesses provided you have a large enough sample size. This lets Hand HQ customers move up in stakes at a much faster rate than would normally have been the case.

Third-party hand history vending has been a hot button topic in the online poker community for quite some time, but became even more so recently after PokerStars issued a cease and desist order to a competing service. Despite this action, Hand HQ has decided to continue offering its customers the ability to buy third-party hand histories from a number of sites, arguing that this information is not illegal to possess and distribute.

Prices vary based on the number of hands being bought, the site, and the stake level. Currently, Hand HQ does not offer sit and go or multi-table tournament hand histories, only cash game data.

Adding 888 Poker to the mix will likely result in players who participate in real money action on that site seeking out Hand HQ to gain an advantage over fellow competitors who do not pursue the third-party hand history avenue. A quick check of the purchase options for 888 on Hand HQ shows that only No Limit Hold'em cash games are available, with big blinds ranging from $0.02 to $500 and the number of players per table going from heads-up to full ring.

When we toggled through the options for $0.25/$0.50 cash games, we found that 10,000 hand histories for six-max tables could be had for $0.99, which is an introductory offer that's hard to beat. For $42, 1.5 million 888 Poker hand histories can be purchased through Hand HQ for $0.50 big blind six-max tables.

The price per hand increases with stakes. For example, 800,000 hand histories at the $1/$2 blind level for six-max tables will cost $45. Moving further up the pay scale, 40,000 $25/$50 cash game six-max hand histories are available for $49.

When it comes to having the most up-to-date information on as many online poker players as possible, Hand HQ is a great source for bulk data regardless of whether you're playing on 888 Poker or any other supported site. The hand histories are compatible with all of the most popular tracking software out there and will seamlessly become part of your personal database with no need for complicated manual entry. There are currently millions of hands just waiting to be viewed by Hand HQ customers.
