PokerStars Zoom Poker Officially Out of Beta Testing

The new fast-paced Zoom Poker that has taken PokerStars by storm has officially exited Beta testing and been rolled out for many cash games on the site. Zoom Poker can now be enjoyed for Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, and Five Card Draw.

Players who are accessing PokerStars from a mobile device will also be happy to learn that Zoom Poker can be played from an Android device with scrollable lobby menus, an improved search, and a new auto-rebuy function.

Zoom Poker was rolled out in Beta back in March and became an overnight sensation. The format allows players to enter a pool instead of a traditional one-table format. When a hand is dealt, a player can choose to remain in the hand or opt for an immediate "Fast Fold," which will move him to another table within the player pool instantaneously.

There is no break in the action and players can enjoy a much higher rate of hands seen per minute on average than the traditional method of being seated at a table. If a player decides to remain in a hand and compete for a pot, he will be given ample time to make the appropriate decisions. Once a hand has shown down or a player has exited the pot, a new table will appear and action can immediately be taken on a new hand.

Professional poker players aren't left out of the mix when playing Zoom Poker because the site's software allows up to four Zoom Poker tables to be opened in any pool. This means that you can see hundreds of extra hands per hour due to the nonstop action. To ensure fairness, the player who arrives at a new table and has had the longest time span of not being dealt into the big blind will be given the big blind for that hand. This gives each player an equal amount of exposure at each position.

Zoom Poker has been compared by many to Full Tilt Poker's Rush Poker, which also was a hit with its members. Zoom Poker is very similar in that the action never stops. There has been a significant push from many members of the online community to implement Zoom Poker tournaments for PokerStars MTTs.

Although Zoom MTTs have not been implemented yet, PokerStars representative Lee Jones recently stated in a forum post that there is a possibility Zoom Poker will eventually be rolled out for the MTT format as well. For now, Zoom Poker is only available for cash games on PokerStars.

Zoom Poker on Android is compatible with PokerStars.com, PokerStars.eu, and PokerStars.net. From a desktop or laptop, you can play Zoom Poker on all region-specific sites. Zoom Poker can be especially profitable for those who are seeking to boost their VIP benefits and earn points toward electronic devices, tournament entries, luxury items, and much more. PokerStars has earned a solid reputation within the online poker community in general and has a proven track record when it comes to software updates, customer support, and large tournament guarantees.
