Tournament Poker Edge Adds Andrew Brokos (foucault82)

The staff at Tournament Poker Edge, a popular poker training site, has been busy in recent days. The reason: the addition of Andrew Brokos, who goes by foucault82 in online poker circles.

According to his Scouting Report on PocketFives, "In May 2010, Andrew Brokos won the Full Tilt Poker FTOPS XVI Event #25 ($2,000+100 NLHE Two-Day) for $450,000." Not too shabby.

A press release sent out by Tournament Poker Edge lauded that Brokos is "one of the most consistent performances in recent WSOP Main Event history. In seven years, Andrew has cashed five times in the Main Event and finished three times in the top 100."

In 2010, Brokos took 86th in the Main Event and walked away with $79,000. The very next year, he was back with a vengeance, this time waltzing to a 53rd place finish and a bankroll boost of $160,000.

Brokos, who is an advocate for urban public education, commented in the same release, "The folks at TPE have been great about working with me to find innovative ways to teach poker through videos, so I'm looking forward to producing some really interesting content with them." Tournament Poker Edge, as its name suggests, is primarily focused on providing tournament poker instruction.

According to Tournament Poker Edge, Brokos' teaching style and philosophy on the game are unique: "Andrew's approach to thinking about and teaching poker is heavily theoretical and academic, but his background in education makes his videos accessible and helpful to all sorts of players." Many times, top-tier poker players are not adept at describing the reasons for their actions and their mindset in general, but Brokos seems to be flying high.

One Tournament Poker Edge visitor commented on Brokos' addition to the site, saying, "As a fan of the excellent Thinking Poker Podcast, I’m delighted to see Andrew join us at TPE and very much looking forward to his input. Great signing, guys." By the way, Thinking Poker is the name of Brokos' blog.

Tournament Poker Edge has a variety of pricing options available, including $23.95 per month with no signup fee, $69.95 for three months, or $239.95 per year. The lack of a sign-up fee makes the site particularly attractive.

The site features a well-rounded stable of instructors that includes Casey "bigdogpckt5s" Jarzabek. Tim "ttwist" Kelly, Shaun "Cougars4444" Hendrickson, Ben "KidCardiff6" Warrington, Danny "DannyN13" Noseworthy, Daryl "aaaaaaaaa" Jace, Dan "BourbonFTW" Witcher, Jeff "hurricanejeff" Romano, Christopher "MovesLikeDarvin" Moon, Charles 'Hagbard Celine" Sizemore, and Jon "Wein" Wein.

Brokos' first videos for Tournament Poker Edge are a four-part series, the first of which deals with hand reading. One comment on the effort praised, "This is amazingly good. The content Andrew goes over seems simple at first, but that is just because he is explaining it so well, not because the content is simple."

W hen QuotesChimp were children and something went wrong, our first reply was typically, "It's not my fault!" as litigants wrangle over whose underwriter is going to have to pay for the outcomes of it, and therefore who caused an injury That shout can still be heard today in tribunals around the state.
