If you use Holdem Manager 2, you have an update headed your way. Released on August 15, Version 2.0.0.8175 included several updates and new features, notably initial support for iPoker Speed tournaments.

Speed Poker is iPoker's version of fast-fold poker, which allows players to get in many more pots and hands that they would otherwise normally get. Once their action at a table is completed, players are whisked away to another table with a new set of players where a new hand will begin. There's no downtime and, as such, you'll want to be armed with player stats just like those you can get from Holdem Manager 2. Now, you can take advantage of HM support in iPoker Speed tournaments.

Speaking of fast-fold games, on PokerStars, the fast-fold product is known as Zoom Poker. Perhaps not surprisingly, the latest update to HM2 included reworked Zoom technology. Here were the updates related to Zoom, according to text found on Holdem Manager's blog:

1. Resolved issue with HUD not working after PokerStars update
2. Resolved issue where HUD stopped working occasionally when running into some players
3. Resolved issue with HUD on Windows XP operating system
4. Improved compatibility with firewalls by disabling copying of dll files
5. Resolved HUD issue with player name detection for players with non-English characters

So, if you're playing on iPoker's or PokerStars' fast-fold tables, your experience should be relatively seamless.

If you play on PKR, an issue with hand history importing was fixed and if you've been importing hands from Full Tilt, the parser was improved in terms of recognizing tournament and cash game hand histories. PKR recently upgraded its client, which led to the import error, but the Holdem Manager tech team was on it.

Holdem Manager 2 has been around since 2011, but if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, you can do so via a free trial for 30 days. After that, you can buy HM2 for $99.99 for the Professional version, $159.99 for the Pro Combo: Holdem and Omaha version, or $59.99 for the Small-Stakes version.
