PokerTableRatings Now Showing PokerStars Stats

Players have started to notice that PokerTableRatings is once again showing stats for PokerStars. Posters on Two Plus Two have noticed a variety of errors, but Poker Table Ratings appears to have the largest online poker room on the world supported after a three-year hiatus.

PokerTableRatings features a variety of tools for online poker players, including a Table Finder, Buddy List, and Player Search. For each person, you can see a variety of stats like VPIP and PFR along with their biggest pots won, biggest pots lost, cash flow charts, who they've won the most from, and who they've donated the most to.

On February 4, a poster on Two Plus Two told the community, "It appears PokerTableRatings has changed their stance on allowing people to see PokerStars hand histories. Just did a few searches and it seems to be working properly, even showing histories of players from years back. I think this is, of course, horrible for poker, as fish and weak regs are already berated on a daily basis."

Custom searches are one of the core features of PokerTableRatings, allowing you to search a handful of online poker sites for optimal tables. You can also utilize the site's widgets to make this information handy at all times. The site sells online poker hands to stock your database with and allows you to view past hands of your opponents in a replayer.

The rift between PokerStars and PokerTableRatings culminated in mid-2012 with the former no longer supporting the latter after PokerStars issued a cease-and-desist order. PokerTableRatings said in part at the time, "We will fully adhere to the cease-and-desist notice by Stars, though we do not believe that we are a disservice to the online poker community."

Posters on Two Plus Two reported issues with No Limit hands on PokerStars being recorded as Fixed Limit as well as the site's ten free searches per day not resetting.

Having more information on your opponents and on the poker ecosystem as a whole might not be wholly deleterious, however. Posters observed that having more transparency means being able to calculate effective rake and benefits more easily. Others pointed out that services like PokerTableRatings could help sniff out bot rings, while governments might be more encouraged to regulate and tax the online poker market after discovering trends and revenue streams with the help of sites like PokerTableRatings.

PokerTableRatings allows ten free searches per day, with plans from there starting at $17.99 per month. There's also PTR Premium, which has plans that go up to $44.99.

Please consult the Terms and Conditions of your favorite online poker site before using PTR.

"as well as the site's ten free searches per day not resetting." They stopped giving 10 free searches a day early in 2014 IIRC. It's now 10 searches period. Too many people were multi-accounting and abusing the free searches, especially bum-hunting HUNL players from what I was told ;) http://professionalrakeback.com
