Have you ever wondered what it would be like to play in a $10,000 buy-in tournament such as the World Series of Poker Main Event or one of the super high-stakes tournaments that take place on PokerStars during the World Championship of Online Poker?

While you are still dreaming, you can learn exactly how to play a big buy-in event with a recent video series on Ivey League.  If you aren't familiar with Ivey League, it is one of the mot popular poker training sites in the world with a huge stable of impressive instructors led by none other than Phil Ivey himself.

However, recently it was another Phil, Phil "Jackal69" Shaw, who imparted his wisdom on how to play in big buy-in events.  So far, he has released five parts of a video series titled "$10,000 8-game WCOOP".  A five-digit buy-in online brings out even more sharks than a live tournament, making this truly a way to get into the minds of one of the best players playing against some of the toughest competition.

For example, part five of the video series kicks off with Shaw seated with poker legends Noah "Exclusive" Boeken, Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu, Andrew "ClockWyze" Pantling, and Steve "stevie444" Chidwick.

What's also great about this video series is that it is in mixed game format.  So, not only can you be entertained by all the high-quality players Shaw is facing, but can learn games outside of No Limit Hold'em if you are currently only familiar with this format.

If you aren't familiar with how an Eight-Game tournament works, along with every blind level change brings a new game: Limit Hold'em, Limit Omaha H/L, Razz, Stud, and Stud H/L.  In addition, No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha, and 2-7 Triple Draw are part of the mix as well.

Many poker players believe there is actually a bigger edge in games outside of No Limit Hold'em since there is less strategy material.  This is one of the rare opportunities to brush up on all of these games while living vicariously through Shaw as he plays in one of the biggest buy-in online poker events of the year.

This isn't to say that Ivey League is only about the mega-stakes games, as there are plenty of other videos that show how to play in games you are more likely to play every day.  For example, Victor Vermeulen, otherwise known as "TheStudent" on Ivey League, recently released the second part of a video series titled "$25 NL 6-Max Leak Finder".

This is the perfect series for beginner and expert players alike for lower limit ring games, as it not only shows you how Vermeulen approaches the game, but it also shows you how he approaches his leaks.  You should be able to apply the same concepts to your game as well.

Whether you want to watch a first-hand explanation of one of the biggest buy-in online events of the year or want to improve at games you play every day, Ivey League is the right place for you.
