If you are looking to improve your poker game, regardless of whether you play cash games or tournaments, Texas Hold'em, Omaha, or other formats, the poker training site Ivey League is your one stop shop to do so.

Ivey League features many top-name coaches, but of course the biggest of them all is none other than Phil Ivey, the poker legend the online poker training website is named after.

To give you an idea of how Ivey League can help you game, Phil Ivey sat down with one of the training site's instructors, Sonny "crushchessy" Kamberi, to discuss some cash games Kamberi recently played.

This 26-plus-minute video is available to anyone since Ivey League labeled this as part of the Undergraduate Plan which allows players to not only have free access to the wealth of information in the poker forum on the site, but also a handful of videos.  Basically, the only thing you need to do to get in the mind of Phil Ivey is to sign up for Ivey League's basic plan, which will not cost you anything.

While you will need to watch the free video entitled "Hand History ft. crushchessy" to get the full analysis, we will give you a sneak peek of what's in store by just going over the first hand reviewed.

On a six-max table, Kamberi opens up with Qd-Jd to 2.5 big blinds from the small blind after the action was folded around to him.  His opponent called from the big blind.  Ivey commented that the raise is fine, as would be limping as well.

The flop of 8s-Ts-Kc gives Kamberi eight outs for a nut straight assuming his opponent doesn't have flush-draw, which in this case it would be six outs.  Kamberi makes a fairly standard continuation bet of 3.3 blinds, which Ivey agrees is his likely play here as well.

When the 9d hits the turn, things get interesting, as Kamberi nailed one of the eight cards he needed to have the current nuts on the board with a straight.  Kamberi believes he should continue along with betting; however, Ivey shared this might be true some of the time, but not others.

"It depends on what type of opponent you are up against," shared Ivey. Against an aggressive type of opponent, probably checking is better."

"Once you bet again here," Ivey continues, "it kind of looks like you have some sort of big hand once the nine comes.  I mean you seem like the type of player that if you had something like Kd-5d or something like that you would probably check this turn. So now once you bet, it shows you have some sort of big hand.

"I am just thinking what I would be thinking," Ivey goes on. "So, I would be thinking checking here is okay or betting here is fine if you are up against the type of guy that is going to call you pretty light."

Similar analysis takes place throughout the video where you can really get into the mind of Phil Ivey.

Head to Ivey League today to see how Phil Ivey would approach the game. You have nothing to lose since this video is absolutely free.  If you like what you see, you can always upgrade your plan to either the Bachelors Plan ($9 per month) or the Masters Plan ($75 per month), where you can watch many other awesome videos and learn from some of the best players in the game.
