Unibet Poker 2.0 Launching October 3

A couple of years ago, Unibet Poker bravely left the comfort and safety of the Microgaming Poker Network to launch its own software powered by Relax Gaming and become a separate online poker network.

We mentioned a few weeks ago that Unibet Poker released plans to launch the second version of its software, known as Unibet Poker 2.0. At the time, we weren't fully aware of all of the new features, but they were recently unveiled during the Unibet Open in Copenhagen that took place at the end of August.

According to PokerListings, which was on-hand for the event, Head of Poker at Unibet Andrew West shared the reasons why the poker site decided to update its poker client.

"If you see our software as a skyscraper, we had reached a point where we were unable to add new levels on top," shared West. "For this reason, we decided to create a new software where we can decide ourselves how many levels we want to build on top."

One big thing is that the new software will include special versions for both Android and iOS devices. This means players on Unibet Poker will be able to enjoy games on the site wherever they go or from the comfort of their own hands while at home.

Not a surprise is that the graphics are dramatically improved in the new version. Another cool feature is that poker players who stream on Twitch will have options not to reveal information about their accounts. This is very important since streaming is becoming bigger and bigger in the poker world.

Additionally, rebuy tournaments will be introduced and the hand history section is much easier to access.

This is not all, as Unibet is making it easier to enjoy other verticals much more easily including casino games and sports wagering. To make things even cooler, players can stream their favorite football match as well.

If you love poker software and were wondering if HUDs would now be allowed, unfortunately this will not be the case. Unibet Poker has steadfastly felt that the use of third-party software is not attractive to recreational players. While we at PokerSoftware disagree with that notion, it does give players an option to play at a site where no one can use third party tools.

The launch of the new software is expected to take place on October 3. Unibet Poker will host some promotions to help the launch including the ability to win a share of €250,000 in travel related experiences.
