PokerTracker Reacts to PartyPoker Changes in its Latest Release

As we reported earlier in the week, PartyPoker has implemented a new policy whereby hand history files in cash ring games are displaying players as anonymous instead of their screennames.

While this works OK for a poker tracking database to track your own play, many people, including myself, thought that this would completely eliminate the effectiveness of a HUD for ring games on PartyPoker as it relies on the hand history files.

PokerTracker 4 proved us wrong as in its latest release pushed out on October 7, PokerTracker version 4.14.20, it added a session only HUD for anonymous hand histories on partypoker. While this doesn’t make your HUD as good as it would be on other sites, it does at least allow you to track how players are playing during your current session which could prove to be useful information. Obviously, this does not allow you to have information on your opponents historically, but it is still much better than nothing at all.

These were not the only changes made in the new PokerTracker release. Also for players on partypoker, support was added for preferred seating for three-max games and a couple of knockout tournaments that weren’t previously supported are also now supported.

For players on 888poker, support was added for the lottery-style BLAST sit-and-go’s which now includes ICM calculations. They also added support for non-English windows for the Romanian 888poker client.

A bunch of changes were made for the iPoker Network as well including adding support for the Iron Poker, bet-at-home, and the Belgian Ladbrokes Poker clients. Additionally issues were fixed relating to reentry tournaments, Omaha h/l games, and a few other smaller issues.

If you play Zoom Poker on the Mac on PokerStars, you may have noticed some detection issues. The good news is that this is now improved and you should notice a big difference.

Also for players on the Microgaming Poker Network, the new released added improved table detection. So if you were experiencing issues with the HUD not finding some of your tournaments, this should now be resolved.

Additionally there were some changes made with the replayer. It now supports both three-max and eight-max games and also corrected a small issue with pot odds where you faced an all-in from a short stack with more than one opponent still in the hand.

Also, tournament summaries are now improved on the way they are imported. If a manual import arrives before hands are imported, instead of failing it will attempt to reimport it.

If you want one of the best poker tracking and HUDs around, why not check out PokerTracker 4. They are constantly staying with the times and rolling out updates to make sure that you are always with the most up-to-date software.
