Post do the pokersites employ house players to combat players tha

i was playing at a final table on fulltilt... 9 plyrs no 1 under 1 mill in chips... a medium stack plyr.. writes in chat box " lets get this over with" .... that plyr proceeded to wipe out the 8 of us in about 11 t0 15 hands... losing about 2 hangs out of min 11 max 15 hds... only losing a small amount of chips... cracking aa's & kk"... flushing straits away & winning mostly on the river with everything but the kitchen sink... never had i seen such a strange run of luck ... i floded qq's to hold on as i watched better hands go down to the river... again i was dealt qq's ...blinds were eating me up so i went all in knowing some how i would loose... out in 4th ... i stayed on & watched 2nd ,3rd & 4th meet the same demise... house plyr? i said to myself... beyond bad beats & way beyond any odds i can calculate... i still play... because i'm hooked .... poker has a hold on me...lol... that's my story & i'm sticking to it... gl all

I know that there is a contingent of people (and probably a growing one at that) that believe that online poker is rigged, but honestly, I've seen that kind of thing happen live too.

People go on heaters sometimes, and they just start catching cards. While it's a statistical improbability, it's not an impossibility. Statistically it is possible, and sometimes does happen. It's a rare occasion, but it does happen.

The trick to avoiding it just get to more final tables. When you've been at enough of them, you'll see that each final table tells a different story, and a similar one too. Similar in that in the end, one person ends up with all the chips. But different because it never happens the same way.

Well i know a pro who shall remain nameless and as a US citizen of course he can't play on Stars etc ,but a Euro site has/is employing him to play sometimes to boost the numbers, as he has no problem playing many tables the only thing holding him down possibly would be the sites' software.Anyways the site doesn't do him any favours as far as good cards are concerned but he did happen to be sitting at a bad beat table the first day he was with the site and the jackpot went off and just sitting at the table he got 10k ffs, not a bad intro to the site methinks. But does the site favour him with good cards...no he has to grind but he gets rake and the likes.

Hi warped,

One of the major benefits of having marquee poker programs such as Holdem Manager and Poker Tracker available is the ability to spot collusion and inconsistencies in online card dealing.

Personally, I've seen well over 1 million hands in my online poker career and firmly believe that the individual responsible for my long-term expectations (be it positive or negative) is myself. Play poker long enough, and you'll have days where you run so good or so bad that it's hard to believe... but in the long run it's all part of the game.
