Why are the reviews false for buddy lists?
Ive tried out both buddy list software, playerGPS and smartbuddy. Both have good reviews and are terrible for finding fish like they claim.Yes you see the fish, but updates are far too slow, and others players will be playing them,by the time your told by the software.

Re: Why are the reviews false for buddy lists?
The programs got good reviews because they do a great job at what they're supposed to do - as you say, finding the fish. Obviously, more people want to play with the obvious fish, which means, in general, they're going to be harder to sit with. Game selection requires patience as sometimes you have to wait for the right tables to open up, but it's often that much more rewarding.
I'm sorry you're having trouble finding the fish in available games, but by your own admission, the program seems to be working great.

Obviously, I disagree with the OP. I use quite a few buddy list programs, including PlayerGPS. I get a text message as soon as a player logs in, which is darn near instant notification. Their IMs come in super quick as well.
For other buddy list programs, use them to find the fish. They are updated regularly and if you take too long, sure the fish probably moved to another table. But just refresh the buddy list and you'll find them.
