Hand-Histories.com Synopsis

Hand-Histories.com is a data mining site that supports many of the world’s largest online poker rooms and captures hands from both Hold’em and Omaha games. The site allows you to fill up a shopping cart of specified hand histories and then download them from an e-mail.

Hand-Histories.com Full Review

Data Mining has become fairly commonplace in online poker circles, with new sites popping up every so often that allow their customers to purchase bulk hand histories to load up their tracking program of choice.  Hand-Histories.com is a very straightforward data mining software that doesn’t have a ton of frills associated with it.  What it does have is a bevy of hand histories available from seven of the major online poker sites at a competitive price.

Using the site is incredibly simple, as each order is handled individually; there is no subscription required.  Once you click the “Get Started” button on the homepage, simply select the site you wish to get hands from.  Once you’ve done that, select No Limit Hold’em, Fixed Limit Hold’em, or Pot Limit Omaha.  Afterwards, you’ll be asked to select a level (noted by Big Blind), such as $1 or $4.  Then, you’ll pick a table size, be it Heads-Up, Six-Max, Full Ring, or Any.  Finally, you’ll reach the area to select the number of hands to purchase:

The pricing at the time of this review is pretty competitive.  For a package of 200,000 hands, the cost is around what you would find at all of the other hand history depositories.  Once you’ve selected the number of hands you want, you are taken to an “Add to Cart” page, where you can see the date range in a graph of your order.  Once you click “Add to Cart,” you can either checkout via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, e-check, PayPal, Neteller, Moneybookers, or WebMoney, or go back and add more to your order.

Once you’ve paid, you’ll have a status page that shows you where the system is in fulfilling your order.  When it is completed, a customer will receive an e-mail notification with links to a zip file containing their hand history order.  The download goes pretty quickly, around 300 to 400 KB per second if your connection supports such speeds.

The hand history files received from Hand-Histories.com were just as we had hoped they would be.  There were no import errors when we put them into both Holdem Manager and PokerTracker and each individual file inside the zip file was about 1 MB in size.

Overall, this is a quick and reliable place to be buying hand histories from, with competitive prices and good service.

Please check your poker site's Terms and Conditions prior to using Hand-Histories.com.

Misi's Review of Hand-Histories.com

April, 21, 2010

After reading this review I decided to try out the site. I signed up for a subscription and also ordered two million hands in bulk because I didnt want to wait till I had loads of stats. I got the hands in an hour and they all imported fine into Holdem Manager. The number of hands is pretty amazing. Well over 100 hands on nearly all the players at every table I sit at now. Its nice knowing who the nits are right away and Im pretty sure the hands have paid for themselves in only one session. The subs look like a decent buy too. Ive access to the last 2 days subs although I only expected to get them from today onwards. There are over 50k hands in each file each day. Sweet. Overall, well worth it once you are playing 50NL or higher.
