Full Review
Pokerazor has two separate pieces, a basic hand range exploration tool and a heads up strategy analysis tool that is much more in-depth. The hand range exploration tool is either unfinished or lacks a proper set of instructions because our testers were both unable to get anything useful out of it for comparing two hands, but did find it useful for looking at opponents' likely ranges and how those hands had developed over time.
The heads-up strategy analysis tool allows the user to enter their own hand and all of the relevant information about the hand as well as their best guess as to their opponent's range of hands. The hand ranges are easily to select and there are predefined ranges and the ability for the user to create their own ranges and name and save them.
Once the pertinent information is entered in to the program, the user can also set conditions, effectively using "If," "And," and "Or" statements as a computer programmer would and then attaching them to the hand. Tell the program that your opponent will only call your check-raise with two pair or better and it can tell you whether your check-raise will be profitable based on that assumption.
The idea behind Pokerazor is a very good one and the program is well on its way to being a very useful tool. We would like to see more development in the areas of usability, a smoother learning curve, and more help and tutorials, but so far the program looks like it's on track to be a nice weapon in every online players' arsenal.
