A free membership will allow you to see some of the information, but the subscription is so inexpensive that every serious tournament player should purchase access. Some of your opponents already use it; if you aren't, you are at a significant disadvantage.
The guy who just check-raised you all-in preflop is a huge fish and you have AK? You have to call. He's won $400,000 this year? Maybe you better fold; he didn't make that money getting all his chips in with AQ.
