This is where Sit and Go Shark comes in, a small but useful SNG tool best used by players beginning to compete in single-table tournaments or who simply need some good coaching at a low price.
Installation of the program is a smooth process. Simply purchase Sit & Go Shark from its website. In an e-mail, you'll receive a link to download the software plus a serial registration code. Download the program, install it, and then while running it for the first time, you'll be able to unlock it by entering in your serial number. Once you've completed that process, simply start up a sit and go and once your first cards are dealt, hover the SNG Shark window over the table, click "Attach," and the program will automatically build an "Advice Window" that you can place anywhere near the poker table.
The program is pretty slick and, for the most part, gives fantastic advice during the course of a game. Once you are dealt cards, there are seven different categories of advice the program will give, which are all quick sentences about your current situation in the game. Don't expect Sit and Go Shark to play the tournament for you; rather, it will act as an intelligent advisor that can coach you through tournaments so a player can see where previous mistakes were made. Coupled with a hand history tracker and Heads-Up Display (HUD) like PokerTracker 3 or Holdem Manager, you have all of the information you need to be a winning sit and go player.
According to the Sit and Go Shark website, the program is legal by the terms and conditions of online poker rooms because it does not keep a record of your play or spy on other players. In terms of usability, Sit and Go Shark is perfect for the sit and go novice who is just learning some of the basic and intermediate plays required to be a consistent winner.
