Full Review

Table selection is one of the biggest factors that can influence your win rate. By using a piece of software to scan available tables to find the best games, you will be much more profitable in the long-run. One of the shortcomings of such software is that it requires a fairly significant amount of data in order to be effective. Such data must either be gathered by actually playing a large amount of hands at a certain limit on each site or by using a data mining tool to collect a large quantity of hands. Once you have a database with a fair amount of data, you will be able to identify the games with the worst players and avoid the games with the most sharks. By doing so, you will be able to maximize your win rate and be a more profitable player.

Sixth Sense is an excellent table selection and fish finder tool. You can keep a buddy list of the fishiest players you come across that alerts you when they are playing. It finds them by scanning every table at the limits you select so that even if your fish is hidden from search, you will still be able to keep tabs on them. Sixth Sense runs off the data in your PokerTracker database and supports both Access and PostgreSQL databases. Its interface isn't the most user-friendly in the world, but it provides all the necessary features and is relatively easy to use once you get the hang of it. Table selection software can greatly improve your profitability and Sixth Sense provides this at a cost that will more than make up for itself if you're playing regularly at the same levels on the same site or are able to data mine the games you would like to play in.
