Texas Calculatem Full Review

Texas Calculatem is packed full of features that make its users coming back for more every time they play online poker. Its basic features and incredibly easy-to-use display make Texas Calculatem a must have for both poker players seeing their first hands and experienced pros looking for another edge.

Texas Calculatem works on over 100 poker rooms. You read that right – over 100 – so I dare you to find an online poker room that it’s not compatible with. I used it on UltimateBet and didn’t skip a beat. The beauty of the software is that you can use it on any room you play, making it one of the most versatile programs out there.

In-game, Texas Calculatem displays your current hand strength, odds, and relative hand strength. A series of tabbed screens show you after which stage everyone at your table folded their hands (which is especially useful if you’re playing a few tables at once), the odds you’ll have the best hand on the next card dealt and on the river (which is extremely helpful as it gets for cash game and tournament play), and a console that gives you advice on your action. Other easy-to-read tabs include a full list of outs you have, which is a must have if you’re a serious poker player.

Options available include the ability to customize what range of hands you’re willing to play in what positions at the table, which you can adjust on a whim based on your play or the play at the table. You can also adjust the relative tightness or looseness of the advice that Texas Calculatem dishes out.

To fire up the program, just drag the window over the table you’re playing at and click “Attach.” If you resize, it may take a bit of trial and error, so I’d stick with the standard table size when you play. Texas Calculatem is Windows-based, so if you’re a Mac user, check out a program like Boot Camp.
