Tourney Manager Synopsis

Though limited in scope, Tourney Manager is very good at what it does: track sit-and-gos, both single and multi-table. With one keystroke, you can import data from either your PokerTracker database or from selected hand history folders themselves and then sort it in ways useful to sit and go grinders.

Tourney Manager Full Review

Tourney Manager should really be called "Sit and Go Manager" because that's all that it supports at the moment.  And it's not really a manager, but rather a personal data tracking tool.  Aside from those complaints (and a small bug when you point your live watch to something that isn't a hand history folder), I really like this program because it does its one job very well.

Tourney Manager gathers information as simply and elegantly as any program we've seen.  After an initial set-up that is intuitive and easy, you hit F5 and your info is gathered.  There's no fooling around with POP e-mail accounts and no manually entering tournament finishes (one of my least favorite chores directly after getting knocked out on the bubble). Just hit F5 after your Aces get sucked out on and go weep in a corner. Here's a look at the data view:

Once the info is in, I was enthralled with the way it got presented back to me.  Overall ROI, ITM finishes, bubble percentage, average length of tournaments, and $ per hour are all across the top, but sortable by filters you can define.  Below that are more detailed stats of individual tourneys, further sortable by a number of factors including finishes according to how many tables I was playing at the time.  I hadn't seen that stat before and have found it useful.  We all know there's a sweet spot for number of tables; this program helps you find it.:

All in all, it's an affordable and well-designed program.  It may not cover as much ground as other programs do, but it ably turns its lack of scope into an advantage by doing what it does very, very well.
