Turbo Texas Hold'em Full Review

Because of the large number of features available in Turbo Texas Hold’em, it’s useful to break up this review into “In Game” features and “Stats” figures:

In Game:

There are a variety of table styles you can practice on, including loose-aggressive tables, tight-aggressive tables, and about a dozen others. You can play as many hands as you’d like at each type of table and then save your work and move onto the next one. It’s very useful, especially for a beginner, to be able to determine ahead of time what style of play you can expect from your opponents.

For each decision you’re faced with during the game, you can view the pot odds, the odds you’ll hold certain hands on certain streets, as well as the past action from the hand just in case you’ve forgotten. You can “Zip” through a hand after you’ve folded and you can even view other players’ cards. Unhappy at how you played a hand? No problem. You can replay any hand you’d like.

Other options available include the opportunity to challenge the software’s self-proclaimed expert and the ability to save and load past games. There are a variety of sound and animation options which you can tinker with based on your level of tolerance for hokey sound effects.

Stats and Graphs:

There are a multitude of statistics and graphs available on Turbo Texas Hold’em. They include the overall behaviors of players at the table (percent of time each raises, calls, and bets), a summary of your play (“money” won and a determination of how loosely or tightly you’re playing), an analysis of the best hands on the flop, and even a breakdown of your wins and losses by street.

Overall, there are a dozen different graphs and data tables for you to choose from. Need to know the percent of the time the player in Seat 6 raises pre-flop? Easy. Need to know how often a pair was the best hand when six players saw the flop? A few clicks and you’re there. Want to know exactly how much money you’re up or down right now? Not a problem. I cannot stress the volume of back-end stats available to you at the click of a mouse.
