Welcome to PokerSoftware.com. Our forums provide a unique opportunity for you to interact with fellow poker software users in order to make your game the best it can be. We’re regularly going to post articles such as this one that recap what is going on in the community. So what is the site buzzing about in its early stages? Let’s check out the good word.

Software Discussion
Our marquee forum, Software Discussion has been focusing on the best software to use for playing multi-table tournaments. Member danlo21 got the discussion rolling by asking, “I have and use Poker Office, but what other software SHOULD I be using to help me in my MTT's and running deep?” Replies to the thread have focused on Tournament Shark, Poker Tracker 3, and Hold’em Manager, all of which can greatly advance a player’s effectiveness in MTTs.

Chris “Fox” Wallace added that Google is a critical place to find information about other players. It’s also not one that you might think of off-hand: “I love to Google the screen names of my opponents and find hand histories that been posted involving them. Sometimes you can learn a lot about a player that way, and most screen names are fairly uncommon strings, so you'll get relevant results on most of them right away.”

Software Q&A
If you’ve been burning to ask a question about any piece of poker software you can name, this is the place. Member flofin pitched the following question in the forum, which has sparked a considerable amount of discussion: “How can I see my own statistics or information in Tournament Shark? My seat in the Tournament Shark table is always empty.” It appears as if this is not possible yet, judging by the responses, but nuances like that will become second nature to you just by reading Software Q&A.

Another discussion in the forum has popped up about what to do with exported spreadsheets from Sharkscope. Responses have centered on a program called Pokerscope, although it does not allow for a direct import of spreadsheets.

AHK Forum
Auto Hot Key programs are quickly becoming all the rage in poker software. As such, we have an entire AHK forum devoted to it. Member freeworldpxf asked when we could expect an AHK script to be released that rebought and added on for players during cubed events. Poker Software’s very own Jayme Lyttle, our AHK expert, gave us some inside information: “Sit tight. PokerStars is in the process of releasing this option, which will be much more solid than an AHK script, but it is possible for a script to be written.”

Jayme holds a degree in accounting and is proficient in computer programming. He’s one of the top AHK guys out there and can always field members’ questions. In one AHK Forum thread, Fox inquired about a product called Navigamer, which is essentially a detachable keypad that allows AHK scripts to be run based on which keys are pressed. Jayme gave us his insight: “I haven’t used this exact pad, but I have used some others that are similar using a PS2/ USB connection. It’s just a matter of editing the script you are using so that the new commands correspond with your pad. For example, if you want the "#2" key to be your all-in button, then you would simply right-click your script and then edit that command so that your desired key performs that command. It’s really simple to do.”

So come chat with us in the Software Discussion, Software Q&A, and AHK Forums about poker software. If all else fails, head on over to the Poker Chat discussion board and tell us what you think of the site. We’re always looking forward to hearing from you.
