At PokerSoftware.com, we’ve assembled a crack team of experts to review some of the best poker software available to you. We wanted to take a few minutes to introduce you to some of the regular faces you’ll be seeing on the site.

Chris “Fox” Wallace

If you play online poker, you know who Fox is. He’s been playing professionally for five years and plays just about any game of poker you can name and is the Head Cash Game Instructor for PokerXFactor.com. He’s already reaping the benefits of working with software programs for PokerSoftware.com. He commented, “I am using programs now that I never even would have heard of if it weren't for this project and the reviews I've done for it.”

Fox discusses what poker software he uses: “I have always used PokerTracker and PAHUD, but my work with PokerSoftware.com has really exposed me to a whole new world of software. Now I use a couple of AHK scripts all the time, Hold'em Manager, Full Tilt Shortcuts, a table opener from Windy Hill Tech, and various ICM calculators. I like the Sharkscope HUD and Lobby-Edge too, both very powerful products. It's really amazing how powerful some of these programs are.”

Purchasing poker software is easy with our site’s videos, according to Fox: “Look at each program, check out its competitors, do all the free trials, read the forums, and then buy it. The time you spend learning to use a program is a steal compared to how much money most of them will make you at the tables.”

Chris Kennedy

Chris has been playing online poker for the last four years, but has been playing cards his entire life. He started playing on Party Poker back in 2004 and hasn’t looked back. His game of choice is $0.50/$1 short-handed no limit on PokerStars, Cake Poker, and Absolute Poker. He’s looking forward to helping you, the PokerSoftware.com reader, buy products intelligently.

Chris comments on his favorite poker software tools: “Hold'em Manager is a great tracker and the built in HUD is extremely helpful while playing. I also enjoy using Set-o-Meter to see how bad I am running. Another tool I use all the time is PokerGrapher. It's great for viewing your progress and sharing it with friends. I also love SmartBuddy” Who doesn’t love to see how bad they’re running? Chris is the poster child of showing his friends the beats he’s taken using Set-o-Meter.

If you’re in the market for poker software, he offers the following words of wisdom: “Always try it before you buy it! Or at least read some unbiased opinions of the software before you go spending your hard-earned cash on it. There is a lot of software that just isn't that great or useful to most players. On the other hand, there are also awesome pieces of software that not many people know about. Just do your due diligence and get the best value out of the money you spend.”

Dan Cypra

Cypra started playing poker online back in 2005, playing micro-limit tables on Party Poker in a vain attempt to win his friends’ money. He’s more of a marketing guru than an online poker player and admires Fox for his superior poker abilities and animated videos. As the Content Director for PokerSoftware.com, Cypra is looking forward to bringing the site’s members the latest news and trends from the industry.

He offers the following advice for those thinking of buying software for online poker: “I cannot begin to describe the amount of information available on PokerSoftware.com. The videos you’ll find by Fox, David, Chris, and the rest of the crew will blow your socks off. Watch each carefully, ask for feedback in the forums, and use each and every feature we offer on the site.”

Jayme Lyttle

Lyttle started playing online poker in 2004 on PokerStars after a friend told him he had won just over $10,000 in an online poker tournament. Lyttle had no idea that a person could play for that kind of money online. After a couple of years of recreational play in college, he began looking for ways to improve his online game. After nailing down most of the fundamentals of No Limit Hold’em, Lyttle discovered different programs that would analyze his game using hand histories from the various sites he played. From that point on, he began studying various HUDs, AutoHotKey scripts, graphing applications, and odds calculators, and developed a deeper understanding of how useful the right tools could be. Along the way, he developed a deep interest in AutoHotKey scripts and became quit proficient in using and supporting various different AHK scripts.

Lyttle’s interests in playing poker, poker analysis software, and AHK scripts all came naturally for him due to his background. Being a competitive athlete all his life, poker was a natural fit for him due to the nature of the competition at the tables. Choosing accounting as his major in college, he is naturally drawn to poker analysis software that deals with statistics. He always has questions about his game and believes that numbers tell a story that will give him those answers. Not to mention, programming is a hobby of his, so the AHK aspect of online poker was a no-brainer. Plus, AHK scripts make Lyttle’s life much easier when using tools that help with multi-tabling.

David Huber

One of the characters you’ll meet on PokerSoftware.com is David Huber. His voice will comfort you in your darkest hour and his reviews of poker software are highly informative. He started playing poker in 2004, playing in micro-stakes sit and gos and then moving up to 16-tabling the $60 turbos on PokerStars. In early 2007, he switched to mid-stakes multi-table tournaments. He’s looking forward to bringing poker software to a larger base of people.

Huber offers the following advice for those looking to spend their hard-earned money wisely on poker software: "I would say to get the most all-inclusive package of software available.  Poker Tracker, Poker Office, or a similar program is an absolute must and so is a program like Poker Stove. An AHK program is also necessary for anyone playing many tables at a time."
