BetPot Programs for Ongame and iPoker Networks

BetPot is a complete, albeit mostly Beta poker software program. It was developed by a Russian designer who has spent hours of his time upgrading BetPot by fixing errors, adding new features, and responding to customer inquiries. It’s important to note that BetPot does far more than its name implies. It fully automates some of the basic functions of playing online poker. It can also assist you with the tedious tasks of opening and managing tables.

The Bet Pot software is currently available for rooms on the Ongame and iPoker Networks. A different download is required for each; however, similar functions are available across both versions. The iPoker version is freeware and is compatible with the following online poker rooms: PokerPlex, Parimatch, Dafa, Betfred, CD Poker, Betfriends, Carlos, Hansa, Titan Poker, Mansion, Tony G Poker, Expekt, Chili, Victor Chandler, and Paddy Power.

The iPoker version features a bevy of hotkey options, including the recent addition of “SitOut on BB.” However, the program is still in Beta mode and its designer is working on making the software less buggy. Options are available for ring games and tournaments, separated out by the number of tables (one option is for two tables, one option is for three or more tables). Customization is available for betting, calibration, hotkeys, formulas, and other features of BetPot. Separate downloads are required based on which group of iPoker sites you’re planning to play on. The developer of BetPot has also recently released a version that supports Ongame Network rooms. However, this version, unlike its iPoker counterpart, is not free. In fact, the program will run you $30 per year, which gives you licenses for up to two computers. Functions available on the Ongame version include programmed bets, simple bets, bankroll reloader, a planner, and a table highlighter. The interface, as you can tell from the image below, is a bit more sophisticated and comes with additional options:

Features within the individual menus call for the program to auto-muck your cards, determine your bankroll based on the number of big blinds, open a certain number of tables, auto-post blinds, and pre-determine bet factors. In addition, a tool for determining the placement of each table on your screen is also available, highlighted by an editable pop-up window with the location of tables marked.

Issues brought up so far by posters on TwoPlusTwo have surrounded the potential for keylogging and other spyware from this and other types of poker software. In addition, several users have reported errors with pre-set bet amounts; for example the software rounds up to betting four times the big blind instead of a pre-set 3.5. Other customers have reported that the software incorrectly shoves all in. The program is constantly in flux as it navigates through Beta mode.

Recent upgrades for the Ongame client include the utilization of the Quick Seat feature, the ability to reload every table, and additional betting options for players seated in the small blind and big blind.

A free 15 day trial is available. Additional support in the future will also occur when the upgrade of the Ongame Network occurs. Windows 2000 or newer is required to use BetPot, as is DirectX 7 or greater. The actual file sizes are a relatively small two megabytes and can be downloaded within a few seconds on a standard broadband connection. The author of this software also created Repadd for PokerTracker and Quickpt for PokerTracker. Both programs were rolled out in 2007. BetPot for Ongame and iPoker were created in 2008.
