Easy Window Dragging Made Simple

Most AutoHotKey (AHK) scripts end up being beneficial to those players who play in several games at a time.  There is no doubt that AHK scripts are also useful for players who play in one game at a time as well, but the benefits are definitely compounded for those who multi-table.  Playing on more than one poker table requires preforming several different repetitive tasks.  For example, you are registering for games, betting the pot, reloading and resizing your tables, and moving windows around. The script that we'll take a look at today is a simple, yet useful one that will help you drag any window to a new location with less effort and much faster than ever before.  Easy Window Dragging does exactly what its name implies.

Traditionally, to drag a window to a new location, you must click on the title bar of the window that you want to move.  How nice would it be to click on any part of your poker table to drag it?  Well, Easy Window Dragging allows you to do just that.  Let's take a look at how to load and run this script:

1) Download AutoHotKey from http://www.autohotkey.com
2) Download the script from http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/scripts/EasyWindowDrag.htm
3) Double-click the EasyWindowDrag file that you just downloaded (the script is now running)
4) Hold down the Caps Lock key, click on any part of the window you want to move, and drag it (You can also hold down the mouse wheel and the left-click button simultaneously and drag the window to your desired location).

By default, the Caps Lock button and the mouse wheel are the hot keys, but you can customize these to whatever you'd like.  To do so, right-click the EasyWindowDrag icon and select "Edit Script."  Scroll down until you see the lines that look like this:

~MButton & LButton::
CapsLock & Lbutton::

You can change the first portion of these lines to a new hot key.  You will be replacing "~Mbutton" and "CapsLock" with your desired new hot key.  Then, save and run the script to see your new script work.
