PokerStars Releases Update Featuring Auto-Add On

For some time now, PokerStars has been a site with an excellent interface and top-tier features.  One of the ways PokerStars decides which features to implement is by listening to its customers.  For example, there wasn't a week that went by over the past year without a post in the forums petitioning for an auto rebuy feature on PokerStars.  The biggest complaint was that players often forget to add on during the break in rebuy tournaments.  You couldn't add on until all players had finished the current hand before going on break.  We have great news!  PokerStars released a new update recently that addresses this issue, among others.

The long awaited auto add on feature is finally on PokerStars.  Instead of having to wait until all hands are completed before going on break, you can now simply check the “auto add on” box and walk away from your computer.  The box is only there when players wait to go on break.  It would be better if the option was present for the entire tournament, but at least you don't have to remember to click the chips and manually add on.

Another feature that players have asked for is an auto rebuy option for cash games.  Until recently, if you wanted to reload your stack automatically, you had to use an AutoHotKey (AHK) script called Chip Reloader.  The script works by assigning a hotkey to perform the reload function.  However, thanks to a new update by PokerStars, Chip Reloader is now obsolete.  PokerStars now allows you to reload your stack automatically with ease.  The reload function also has several different criteria to choose from:

Since PokerStars was launched, the title bar of a tournament table only listed the Tournament ID number.  It is really important to be able to glance up at the title bar to see exactly which tournament you are about to make a decision in.  A few weeks ago, PokerStars added the buy-in amount to the table title bar, but it still lacked the actual name of the tournament.  If you are playing five $20 multi-table tournaments at the same time and one has a huge prize pool, it is important to know which is which without having to open the lobby.  PokerStars took the final step in its latest release by adding the name of the tournament to the title bar:

PokerStars’ latest update offers three helpful new features that players have asked for.  PokerStars always makes it a point to listen to feedback from players and implement as many of the changes as possible.  With this latest update, it is apparent that PokerStars indeed listened to the players and gave them what they want.
