Fans of the popular tracking and analysis software PokerTracker are looking forward to this fall, when the program will be available for the Mac, according to a statement released last week. It read, “PokerTracker 3 for Mac and PokerTracker 3 Omaha are on the horizon. We are shooting for an early fall release for PokerTracker 3 for Mac and a mid/late fall release for PokerTracker 3 Omaha.” As it stands, Poker Copilot dominates the Mac tracking and analysis software market. However, the winds of change may soon be upon us. Let’s check out the big news, which has our industry buzzing.

The Windows and Mac versions of PokerTracker will utilize the same registration code, making using one operating system or the other a breeze, especially since each license is good for two computers. PokerSoftware.com is privileged to be on the alpha-testing list for the Mac version of PokerTracker and will keep the community abreast of the latest news from the popular program, which you can claim for free by visiting our Free Software promotion. Fall is just around the corner, as Labor Day in the United States typically denotes the changing of the seasons from summer.

With regards to pricing of PokerTracker Omaha, the release from program officials explains, “Once PokerTracker 3 Omaha is released, there will be several different pricing plans. The base product of PokerTracker 3 will continue to be $89.99 and the user will have the option of either Hold’em or Omaha. Users can add Omaha to Hold’em or vice-versa for a price to be determined which will be significantly less than the $89.99 base cost.” The release of PokerTracker Omaha follows the successful debut of Omaha Manager, which PokerSoftware.com first reviewed back in March. Omaha Manager’s pricing structure is similar to PokerTracker’s proposed arrangement and the software is brought to you by the same developers as Holdem Manager.

Omaha Manager has quickly caught on with aficionados of the popular genre of poker, as debate over what Omaha Heads-Up Displays (HUDs) should contain has begun to spring up. Many players we’ve talked to pointed out the importance of including street-based stats. The debut of PokerTracker Omaha may cause analysis of this still-growing area of the industry to flourish.

PokerTracker wasn’t done there, however. Officials also announced the launch of a new Micro-Stakes version. The edition will set you back $44.99 and can be upgraded at any time to the full version of PokerTracker for an additional $49.99. The regular version of PokerTracker regularly costs $89.99 and covers all limits. The Micro-Stakes installment works with $0.10-$0.25 No Limit games and below, $0.25-$0.50 Limit games and below, and tournaments and sit and gos with buy-ins of $11 or less.

The Micro-Stakes version is available on a limited trial basis. A statement posted on PokerTracker’s website explains, “Play like a professional with PokerTracker 3 Hold’em Micro-Stakes edition and move up limits faster. As you graduate from Micro-Stakes, you can then upgrade the Micro-Stakes edition to the full version of PokerTracker 3 for a seamless transition to those higher limits.”

Don’t forget that PokerTracker licenses can be used on two separate computers. For those not taking advantage of our Free Software promotion, PokerTracker gladly accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Moneybookers. Players who purchase the full version of PokerTracker 3 will also receive complimentary copies of PokerTracker Hold’em Version 2 and PokerAce HUD. It’s always good to get something for nothing, so take advantage of these exciting promotions from PokerTracker while they last.
