Holdem Manager Adds Table Ninja and Rush Poker Support

Rush Poker took the online poker industry by storm when it was released exclusively at Full Tilt Poker.  Regulars and novices alike flocked to the action-oriented version of Hold’em that is designed to allow as many hands played as possible during sessions.  The format pits players in one large pool against each other.  Once you fold your hand, either in turn or immediately through the “Quick Fold” button, you will instantly be taken to another table for a new hand right away.  The game currently only exists at Full Tilt Poker and will allow hands to be imported into hand history tracking programs. However, Heads-Up Display (HUD) technology prevented stats from appearing from hand to hand.

On Sunday, the developers behind the popular tracking program Holdem Manager announced that the software fully supports Rush Poker.  The innovative solution allows players to view opponent stats while playing on Rush Poker tables.  In what was being hailed as an “around the clock effort” over the last few days, the update is available to all registered users at the Holdem Manager forums.  The traditional HUD display wouldn’t work, so the folks at Holdem Manager looked at the issue from another approach.  What they did is build a tool where you can inject your database stats on players directly into the Full Tilt notes feature.  Normally, stats appear in an HUD overlay on top of a tournament or cash game table.

In order to take advantage of this new feature, users of Holdem Manager should visit the forums.  The release supporting Rush Poker is 1.10.01 and is a free 17.1 MB downloadable executable.  To take advantage of the new Rush Poker support, users should click on the “Options” menu and then “Rush FTP Notes Export.”  Then, select the notes file for the player they want to export.  Clicking the “Go” button initiates the process, which could take a few seconds or a few minutes depending upon your database size and other factors.  This notes method only applies to Rush Poker tables; if you are seated at a traditional table, the HUD will function normally.

A video has been included with the most recent release of Holdem Manager explaining the Rush Poker feeature.  To get the Rush Poker support within Holdem Manager activated, click on “HUD Options” and select the “Rush FTP Notes Export” option.  A dialog box will appear for “FTP Note Export for Rush Poker” and a few options will be available.  The one that you will want to select is “Click to Select Note File,” which allows Holdem Manager to export player stats as notes for your XML file.  This is done before you start each session because the stats do not update in real-time, unlike the traditional HUD.

The support for Rush Poker wasn’t the only bit of good news announced by Holdem Manager.  With the official release of version 1.10, the company announced a newly formed alliance with Table Ninja.  For players who have not tried the program out before, Holdem Manager has included a free 30-day trial of Table Ninja.

Table Ninja is a shortcuts program for PokerStars that has hotkeys and automatic functions to assist in the multi-tabling process at either cash or tournament tables.  Such functions include table controls, opening and closing of tables, and automatic bet sizing.
