Recently announced by the developers of Holdem Manager is a partnership with the popular fully-functional hotkey script Table Ninja. Now, Table Ninja is fully integrated into Holdem Manager and can be purchased as an App. PokerSoftware.com sat down with the brains behind Holdem Manager and Table Ninja to discuss what users of both programs can expect.

PokerSoftware.com: Thanks for joining us. Talk a little bit about the concept behind Holdem Manager Apps.

Holdem Manager: The main concept is that there are a lot of different types of poker software out there, so why not package them all into one? We opened the doors to bring Apps to the poker community and we’re not just talking about a Heads-Up Display (HUD) and stats. These are multiple programs combined to analyze your game and they’re all very popular. Table Ninja is a big one and SNG Wizard is another big one. Table Scanner is near the top of the ranks and Leak Buster is popular as well. They all bring added value.

PokerSoftware.com: Can you comment on the future of Holdem Manager Apps?

Holdem Manager: TableNinjaFT will be coming soon and Leak Buster will have a Limit version coming out. Anything that brings added value to the Holdem Manager customer we can develop and release.

PokerSoftware.com: Was Holdem Manager created with the intent of incorporating Apps?

Holdem Manager: It evolved as time went on. As we got deeper into the development process, it made sense to open it up to other people. The driving force is to make sure that Holdm Manager is the number one poker analysis software out there. It’s great to see all of these different products and the future of the Apps is pretty bright.

PokerSoftware.com: What future developments can we expect from Holdem Manager?

Holdem Manager: We’re looking to add a backup and restore option and that’s currently in development. It’s important to have it, but we’ll take it a step farther than just backing everything up to a zip file.

PokerSoftware.com: Tell us about your partnership with Holdem Manager.

Table Ninja: The partnership we have going has been great. It’s been great working with them. Every Holdem Manager user can be exposed to Table Ninja, which has helped solidify our brand. We know there is a whole class of players who are extremely serious about poker and our product is suited for them. We were approached by Holdem Manager and started discussing. It was something we knew we wanted to do right from the start. It’s been good and we’re looking forward to getting TableNinjaFT in there.

PokerSoftware.com: Who are Table Ninja’s beta testers?

Table Ninja: We have a pool of them. A lot of our testers are current or former players and developers.

PokerSoftware.com: Will Table Ninja be expanded beyond PokerStars and Full Tilt in the future?

Table Ninja: We have a core engine behind Table Ninja and TableNinjaFT that solves a lot of the problems of expanding to other sites. The community basically spurred on TableNinjaFT. PokerStars and Full Tilt are large enough that they were the two biggest demands from our customers.

PokerSoftware.com: What can developers who have an idea for a Holdem Manager App do?

Holdem Manager: It’s fairly simple. The first thing is to get it approved. We strongly suggest that people tell us their idea up front. We’ll give basic support to integrate it into Holdem Manager. We do testing and it’s a fairly easy process with minimal development within the client. The market will dictate the number of Apps we offer, but right now, the door is wide open. We do review every App and won’t release one if it’s of poor quality.
