Profiling PokerTracker Software Updates

Back on May 13th, PokerTracker 3 released Version 3.07.1 Beta, which essentially amounted to a few minor additions and a whole host of fixes. Among the new features were expected value (EV) calculations for Omaha, an all-in EV graph for Omaha, and session-based currency capabilities. This is good news for Omaha players, who should continue to see more Omaha fixes and updates in the near future. The session-based currency option is also a great perk for players who play with the Canadian Dollar or Euro.

Mac users will be ecstatic to hear that exporting to JPG and PNG files is now working properly and the Table Tracker window size has been adjusted so the start button is visible. A whole host of fixes have been made to the importing process, broken down by site as follows:

CEREUS: Now includes 7-2 prop bets in the pot, deducts prop 7-2 wins from winnings, and inputs new hand numbers.

Merge: Now shows villain’s mucked cards and the correct button location. In addition, the duplicate hands bug in auto-import was fixed.

PokerStars: New bounty tournament capability and the "Added to the prize pool" summary time register problems were rectified.

Boss: BB/Dead BB detection and the problems with currencies in locales without GBP and Euro symbols were fixed.

Additionally, several currency issues have been remedied. The “Amount Won (Global)” splitting by limit for same currencies, currency information not being set for new limits, and limit adjust dialog problems were corrected.

Other notable upgrades included Heads-Up Displays (HUDs) no longer crashing and showing cards from the previous hand, the inclusion of FTOPS-style summaries, and EV calculations for sites that don’t show losing mucked hands. In addition, the issue with Table Tracker placing ‘Table Number” in the “Buddy” column was fixed.

Finally, the HH Viewer, which had been acting up lately, was completely taken care of. The problems with INVALID_POS on Microgaming hands and the showing of wrong bet/chip amounts in tournaments will no longer plague users.

Already one of the top-selling poker software products, PokerTracker 3 stays on top of the game by providing customers with continually updated build history and release notes at least a few times a month. Users will have access the new build as soon as it becomes available, but it’s very rare for a software provider to keep its users as up-to-date as PokerTracker does.

As always, PokerTracker officials want users to know that new versions of the software will need to update in their database. It may take a long time depending on the size of customers’ databases and the speed of their computers. Users should plan their updates accordingly.

The new PokerTracker 3 beta is slated for release in the near future, so stay tuned to PokerSoftware.com for all the details. In the meantime, be sure to get PokerTracker free through PokerSoftware.com by signing up for a major online poker site.
