Review of Full Tilt Poker AHK Scripts

A while ago, a few readers posted in our Software Discussion Forum asking about free AHK scripts that still work on Full Tilt Poker.  One of the huge issues that came up is a lot of the free scripts became useless once Full Tilt changed the architecture of its software.  Because many AHK scripts are freeware and don’t have a group of people updating them who have a financial interest in doing so, they went the way of the dodo.

However, there are still some great AHK scripts out there that continue to work on the world’s second largest online poker site.  Below, you’ll find some free AHK scripts that are compatible with Full Tilt Poker.  They are offered completely free of charge and might help you enjoy a better experience at the tables.

PlaceMint: Window Positioning Tool

This AHK script will let you arrange windows into defined slots.  Each slot is configurable to make sure the windows are positioned to your needs.  You can also drag and drop a window into different slots to have windows swap places.  You’ll want to use this program if you want to lay out your tables in a particular way or find yourself constantly swapping tables.

FTCash Version 1.25: Cash Game Scripts

This script was released a year ago and had an amazing set of features.  It included a table highlighter, mouse move to action buttons, an option to send actions to the active table or under the mouse, an option to auto activate the table under the mouse, a time bank clicker, and an option to deal me in.  There were also table hotkeys to fold, check/call, bet/raise, and fold to any.  There were also global hotkeys for quick registration, join/un-join waitlist on all open tables, next table activation, and three hotkeys for custom layouts.  Finally, there was a Bet Pot function that even had four customizable hotkeys for increasing and decreasing bet amounts.

Since the program was released, there have been significant updates to it and it's one of the very few that made it past the huge Full Tilt Poker Software update.  On November 4th, Version 1.22 added the time bank function after the Full Tilt update and, a day later, Version 1.23 came out to fix a possible lag issue.  On November 13th, Version 1.24 added Rush Poker support and a fix for a time bank issue.  Finally, on January 9th, Version 1.25 added fixes for the “Auto Buy-In” and “Auto Take Seat from Waitlist” functions.

FreePokerDB: Hand History Tracking

The FreePokerDB has been around for almost three years.  It is a completely free script that allows you to do all of your tracking and even has an HUD add-on.  If you don’t want to spend the money to get a program like PokerTracker 3 or Holdem Manager, then this is your best bet.  The latest stable version is 0.20.1 and, right now, Version 0.21-rc1 is making its rounds as a potential release candidate.

Note Transfer: Transfer Full Tilt Poker Notes to Holdem Manager

If you have made a lot of notes inside Full Tilt Poker, then getting them to another computer can be a bit of a pain.  However, this is a simple and free AHK tool to allow you to transfer your Full Tilt notes to the Holdem Manager database using Holdem Manager’s note import feature.  This script takes the contents of Full Tilt Poker’s local “PlayerName.xml” file and creates a “.HMNotes” file that can be imported.  The only limitation on release was that it can only insert new records and cannot update existing ones.
