PocketFives Poker Training Launches

PocketFives.com recently launched a robust poker training site to assist its large group of followers in their quest to dominate the tournament poker scene.  Users can go to PocketFives to see the latest information about the poker industry and also view the rankings of the top online players in the world.

There are five major sections inside the all-new PocketFives Training area – Training Videos, Instructors, P5s Training Blog, Customer Support, and the P5s Training Forum.  Inside the Training Videos section, users will find a number of videos aimed at multiple disciplines of the game, with a heavy emphasis on tournament play.  PocketFives Training absorbed the site formerly known as PokerPwnage and its 400+ videos.

When you first visit this section, you’ll see plenty of filters that will allow you to find videos specific to what you want to study.  There are filters for structure, game, type, stakes, size, format, instructor name, and keyword.  Using these filters you can narrow the list of videos down so you can get right to the topic you want.

Once you use the filters, which are optional, you will see a list of videos below the “Search Videos” filter box.  In there, you will find a thumbnail, title, author name, date, synopsis, rating, stakes, type, duration, and concepts.  There is a link to “Play Now,” which will roll the video.

Each video is loaded inside a Flash player that will work on any web browser that supports Flash technology.  From this page, you can watch the video, rate it, view the instructor bio, and make comments on the video, which the instructor could respond to.  You can also access an iPhone version of each video.

There are some seriously big names when it comes to the roster of players within the PocketFives Training section.  The first one that jumps out on the list is Jon Van Fleet, who is better known as “apestyles” on the forums and at the tables.  He’s made over $1.5 million in tournament poker alone and is an accomplished poker author.

Another big name is Alex “Assassinato” Fitzgerald, who has final tabled many of the major Sunday tournaments in his career. Also on the list of instructors is Kevin “1SickDisease” Eyster, who has won multiple big entry tournaments at Full Tilt Poker, among other sites.  The last pro we’ll touch on, although there are more big names to check out, is Jon “Sketchy1” Eaton, who is an absolute beast, proven by his $2 million in career earnings.

The Customer Support section of the PocketFives.com Poker Training site is more of a FAQ that actually has a lot of important information for subscribers.  You can see how to change your billing information, how many videos will be released each week, how to watch on a Mac or Linux machine, and more questions that might arise when interacting with the website.

The last major section is the P5s Training Forum, which is separate from the main PocketFives forum.  This is where specific questions for the training area are posted, with instructors and fellow students alike reading the threads and responding to them in the hopes that everyone learns more and gets better at the tables.

Membership to the PocketFives Training program is priced at $29.95 per month with a $35 sign-up fee if you go for the month-to-month option.  There is a two-day free trial available if you want to try before you buy or you can just go for the six-month option, which will cost $179.70 with no sign-up fee.  If you want a full year paid for in advance, you can go for that option as well.  If you do, PocketFives will pick up a month of the training for free with no sign-up fee.  Currently, there are over 400 videos in the library already with more being added every week.

Play when you’re happy, not when you’re upset. Don’t play online kasino because you have problems, play when things are going well in your life. :)
