In the wake of Black Friday, in which the founders of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Absolute Poker were indicted in the United States on charges that included money laundering, bank fraud, and operating an illegal gambling business, several online poker sites had to alter their business models. One such room was PokerStars, which changed its blind levels and now does not take real money action from U.S. players.

In order to match the change to PokerStars’ tournament structures, SNG Wizard, which will turn you into a lean, mean, sit and go winning machine, was updated as well. Now, you’ll be able to close out a sit and go on PokerStars flawlessly, even with the new blind levels. If you’re from outside of the United States, then be sure to take a test drive of the new PokerStars blind levels using SNG Wizard.

Also new on SNG Wizard is the ability to copy hero hand ranges to your clipboard. An e-mail sent to PokerSoftware.com earlier this week explains why you should be excited about this brand new SNG Wizard feature: “You can now copy hero hand ranges to the clipboard and to the hero hand range browser. While you’re in the game view, click on the hero's hand range to open the hand range browser. The click the ‘Copy’ button to copy a text description of the hero's hand range to the clipboard.”

SNG Wizard is one of the most popular programs we’ve reviewed here on PokerSoftware.com. Part of the reason why is that it’s fully integrated into the popular poker tracking software Holdem Manager.

To that end, text found in our SNG Wizard review lauds, “With this integration, you can simply scan through the hands you want to review from your Holdem Manager database, select the hands you want to analyze, and then have SNG Wizard pull up only those hands you selected, allowing you to fully analyze your hands.”

SNG Wizard is also an extremely popular tool for learning short-stack play. One of our favorite parts of the program is its Quiz feature, which you can customize based on the number of players at the table, your position, and the overall table difficulty. In the Quiz mode, you’ll be presented with a situation and get the choice to push or fold. If you lack this critical poker skill, then head to SNG Wizard.

The latest SNG Wizard update also updated the parser to reflect changes to PartyPoker’s hand history format and fixed a problem the software was having when determining the structure of an MTT.

Also changed in recent days on the popular sit and go utility was the edge range. Now, you can bump up the allowable range to plus or minus 2%. SNG Wizard officials changed Carbon Poker support to Merge Gaming Network support, so know that the program is compatible with the entire network. Other Merge Gaming Network sites include Lock Poker and Overbet.

A license to SNG Wizard runs $99, but if coughing up nearly $100 for a piece of poker software isn’t in the cards, then check out our Free Software program. All you have to do is sign up and deposit on a major online poker site. Then, complete the play-through requirements and, when you do, we’ll ship you a free SNG Wizard license.

If you’re from the United States, then don’t worry. You can sign up for Carbon Poker to complete the Free Software requirements, which are 1,200 VIP Points and a $50 minimum deposit.
