Ace Poker Solutions is on the verge of sending out the second issue of “Knock the Table,” a mailer that contains the latest and greatest poker software reviews, news, strategy, and much more. The publication is made possible by Ace Poker Solutions.

Don’t forget that we’re working with Ace Poker Solutions to give away free software through our Facebook page. We'll be giving away a free suite of Ace Poker Solutions products including a Leak Buster Pro License, an Ace Poker Drills combo pack license, and a free month of Poker Zion training (total value of $170). We'll draw one lucky winner every Friday in August. All you have to do is Like PokerSoftware on Facebook to qualify. Just look for the “Like” button at the top of our Facebook page.

The first entry in this week’s edition of “Knock the Table” from Ace Poker Solutions is called “The Art of Reaction” and comes your way from the mind of Derric Haynie. He relayed an important tip for live poker players: “You need to react, fast and correctly. Watching videos, getting coaching, and gaining experience will teach you what to do under many different situations, but remember every situation is completely unique and while it may be similar to something you have run into in the past, you can continue to adjust a strategy to the extreme if you notice a completely unbalanced strategy.”

Jacob “Threads13” Hoke contributed an article called “Overestimating Implied Odds,” which contains a complete mathematical analysis. This is a pretty in-depth article and we’re confident that advanced poker players will enjoy reading it. For beginners, it’ll open your eyes to the Wild West that is the mathematical world of poker.

Friend of PokerSoftware.com, Chris Wallace, who goes by the name “Fox” online, contributed an article called “Using Software in Live Games.” One program that Wallace speaks about is Flexadex.com, which, as its name suggests, is a pseudo-Rolodex. He explained, “What makes it perfect for me is that I can add tags to any entry and then search by tags to find those entries later.”

Wallace mentioned tattoos on players’ bodies as one tag he would add.

PocketFives.com Editor Dan Cypra wrote a news article describing his reactions to the 2011 World Series of Poker. One of his thoughts was that the event had truly become a worldwide phenomenon. In fact, players from nine countries had come away with bracelets, while the final table of the Main Event featured seven countries, the most ever.

On whether the added global presence at the WSOP this year meant that poker’s popularity in the United States was dwindling, Wallace told Cypra, “It’s probably just variance, but poker is not winding down in the U.S.; poker is increasing in popularity overseas. Poker has been growing every year everywhere. It stopped growing in the U.S., but it’s still huge here. It can’t grow much more here.”

PokerSoftware.com contributed a review of Table Ninja to “Knock the Table.” And by the way, if you haven’t heard by now, Table Ninja now offers a version for PartyPoker, TableNinjaPP, as we’ve called it. It will undoubtedly catch on like wildfire as PartyPoker’s tables swell following the shutdown of Full Tilt Poker.

Check out the official website of Ace Poker Solutions to grab your own copy of “Knock the Table.” It’s released every month and is definitely a must read for all poker players, both novices and experts.
