After a long Beta testing process, PartyPoker has officially released its Mac client and taken the Beta label off of the product. Beginning immediately, online poker players around the world who are using a Mac to browse the internet can enjoy real money games at PartyPoker.

The announcement has already sparked a large amount of interest among many in the online poker community who prefer Macs to PCs. Aside from the popular PartyPoker cash games, the site has added multi-table tournaments and multi-table sit and gos to its Mac lineup, meaning that players can compete in large-pool events.

There are a number of tournaments currently being offered in order to make the PartyPoker client as Mac-friendly as possible. These include regular MTTs, qualifiers, full-blown tournaments, freerolls, rebuys, shootouts, and bounty events. There is a poker format available for any tournament player who is competing on a Mac.

PartyPoker Team Pro Tony G was recently quoted in the site's official blog as saying, "I'm the Mac Daddy," a play on words for what is sure to be a high-potential product that reaches out to new players and attracts new blood into the game. Having a Mac-friendly product can single-handedly draw more players into the online poker realm, from graphic designers to those who simply prefer the Mac operating system to PCs.

In order to use the Mac client, you will need to download the OS X software directly from PartyPoker's official website. The version is very similar to what seasoned players have come to expect from the clean PartyPoker interface and should take new players a very short time to master as they move seamlessly from the main lobby to the tournament table. Payouts, prize pools, player names, chip amounts, chip graphics, and cashier screens are all fully functional to ensure a painless experience from start to finish.

It is important to note that Mac users will be playing in the same pools as PC players. This means that in spite of the different operating systems, competition among all players is possible at any time from any computer with an internet connection provided you have a login name and password.

Real money accounts can be set up in no time and require the same level of documentation as regular PC users. There are also no extra cashout restrictions or bonus limitations. Essentially, Mac users receive the exact same benefits as PC users.

PartyPoker, once the world's largest online poker site, appears to have made a full comeback since its decision in late 2006 to exclude U.S. players from competing on its site following the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. The company is publicly traded in London and is the second largest online poker site in the world according to PokerScout.com.

Regardless of your time zone or geographical location, there is live action at many stakes 24 hours per day, seven days per week on PartyPoker. To find out more about how to download the OS X software and begin playing for real money in cash games and tournaments on PartyPoker via your Mac, visit PartyPoker.com.
