PokerTracker Moves to Version 4.06

In a major move that occurred in recent days, PokerTracker 4 moved to Version 4.06, which is now stable. PokerSoftware caught up with the PokerTracker team in London for a conference and they were gleaning ear-to-ear about the response to PokerTracker 4, which was released late last year.

Version 4.06, according to a press release obtained by PokerSoftware, is "considered a 'stable' release. Going forward, we will be building all future releases based on the stable code base. A stable release is a finalization of the prior incremental releases."

Why should you run out to get your hands on a copy of Version 4.06? All of the following features are now stable, so you won't have to worry about any software hiccups and won't have to download any beta software. First, any logs you need to create for customer support issues can now be easily created by holding down the "ALT" key when you start up PT4. These are essential for a smooth operating experience and can help you troubleshoot any bugs you might be experiencing.

The stable features don't end with logs, however. PT4 officials explained in the same press release, "ICM and Net Adjusted Winnings are now compensated for in Bounty tournaments." Bounty tournaments are ones in which a prize is placed on each player's head, which means they're treated slightly differently. By the way, you can check out a few ICM programs we have in our SNG Tools section here on PokerSoftware.

One of our favorite inclusions in Version 4.06 is support of Hyper-Turbo tournaments, which is, again, now a stable feature. If you want a fast-paced style of tournament, look no further than Hyper-Turbos, which have blind levels that last only a few minutes, so you can quite literally play a mass-field event in a matter of hours. If you enter one of these high-octane tournaments, you can know that the full power of PokerTracker is behind you.

PokerTracker 4's hand history replayer also received a makeover of sorts: "The Hand History Viewer has reduced clutter by improving the display of antes, split pots, and low hands. A new Copy to Clipboard mode has been added to simplify the sharing of hands in third-party applications including automatic support for AIM, Skype, Word, Evernote, Outlook, Thunderbird, Libra Office, and more." Many poker players converse with each other on programs like Skype, so this is a very welcome addition.

You can easily sort tournaments by day of the week and hour of the day to see if there is a particular day or time that your poker acumen is higher or lower than normal. And you can do all of that in stable release of PokerTracker 4. If you notice that you're stronger during a particular time period, then by all means ramp up your activity during it. Likewise, if you find you're losing money hand over fist after midnight, then don't play once the clock turns 12.

A variety of poker site-related changes were also included in the newest PokerTracker stable version, 4.06: "PokerStars Run it Twice, PartyPoker FastForward tables, iPoker Omaha Speed Poker tables, PokerStars.it Zoom tables, 888’s new hand history format, and PokerStars' new audit file changes are now supported. Multi-tabling is now enabled at iPoker Speed Poker tables. Full Tilt Poker is once again supported. Microgaming Tournaments now fully supported with HUD and full tournament summary importing."
