Mac poker players, listen up! Say hello to the newest incarnation of Poker Copilot. It's Poker Copilot 4 and was released this week much to the delight of OS X users everywhere. The software is geared specifically toward Mac poker players and features plenty of features in a native OS X environment.

Let's start with Poker Copilot 4's heads-up display, or HUD, which you can customize while you're playing. You don't have to get up from the table in any way to change the HUD and you can also tweak the background color and transparency on the fly. Your HUD can show statistics from the table you're parked at or an entire tournament in general – just tell Poker Copilot 4 which set of stats you'd like to display.

Poker Copilot 4 added the ability to take notes on players and view them automatically in the HUD. Two new summaries were added: Hands by Date and Tournaments by Date. According to Poker Copilot's website, the former "shows which hour and which weekday is the best time for you to play," while the latter "lets you compare your tournament history by day, week, and month." There's also a new chart that plots your tournament finishes so you can easily see how you've been doing.

Poker Copilot 4 features faster startup times and a faster database, which means you should spend less time waiting for the program to process and more time playing. Assuming you're a winning player, that means more money in your pocket. Support for all of the various country-specific Full Tilt Poker sites was added, as was support for Barriere Poker.

The Poker Copilot 4 interface appears crisp on a retina display and the various informational areas the program provides can all be minimized to give you as much playing room as possible. Donk Bet and Squeeze Bet statistics were added to the fray, the Check-Raise stat is now shown by street, and the 3bet stat is now listed by position.

Finally, Poker Copilot 4 supports Rush Poker on Full Tilt and Zoom Poker on PokerStars via a dynamic HUD, so know that you can play either fast-fold game without much hassle.

Poker Copilot 4 offers a 30-day free trial for Mac users, so feel free to take the software out for a spin and see if it's for you. If you like what you see, you can buy it for $69. If you're an existing Poker Copilot user, then you can upgrade to Version 4 for $29. The site accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, check, bank transfer, and money order.
