Holdem Manager 2 Streamlines Settings and Filters

In case you didn't see, Holdem Manager 2, one of the leading poker tracking databases and HUDs, recently released a software update to Version 2.0.0.7852. This is one of the company's more major updates, with many improvements and bug fixes.

The heart of the new release is the streamlining of multiple windows within the General Settings and Reports Filters. The design is much smoother and more simplified by not having to open more than one window to find which settings or filters need to be changed.

The main options listed under General Settings are Common Settings, Mucked Cards, HUD Font, and Advanced Settings. Within each of these categories, a quick list of settings is listed.

The Reports Filters' main categories are Game Stakes and Number of Players, Common Filters, Position and Action, and Vs Player. The new streamlined screen is similar to the layout of the General Settings, with a quick list of filters under each category.

This update also addressed HUD updates and fixes, including new seating preference improvements, updated HUD settings and tool tips, updated HUD filters, and font size fixes.

Some of the report changes include an updated Vs Player filters, an updated report refresh fix, an added ability to search for specific NoteCaddy stats, an update to fix issues with hands disappearing when adding $/hour, the ability to move multiple stats, and an issue with the Windows 8 basic color filters.

This update also addressed many site-specific fixes on just about every major online poker site. Perhaps the biggest site-specific change was the HUD now recording hands on PartyPoker's Heads-Up FastFoward tables. This is ideal since in this high-paced game, it is nearly impossible to get a feel for your opponents without having their HUD stats to identify their exploitable tendencies.

For Full Tilt, there were specific corrections for reentry tournament HUD issues and a tournament update issue that occurred during table changes. One-dollar 180-Man Hyper-Turbo Sit and Gos on PokerStars are now recording correctly. TableScanner issues were fixed on iPoker.

Some of the other changes in this release are an update to the streamlined notes in the replayer, a fix to multiple replayers opening when using a standard hand view with NoteCaddy, and a removal of excess tournament logging for active sessions.

If this is not enough, this release also addressed the database management and dashboard. The database management enhancements include upgrading PokerStars parsing, updating automatic archiving, adding the ability to save import errors with one click of the mouse, and adding a warning label for using invalid characters when creating a new database.

Their dashboard's advisory message now spans the width of the software, includes a new widget for cash games results for the past week, the HM TV widget's pause function no longer restarts what is being watched from the beginning, and the software also includes an updated coaching widget.
