You probably know that Holdem Manager 2 is easy to use out of the box.  However, like any tracking tool, what you get out of it is entirely up to you.  With that in mind, Holdem Manager started a video tutorial series called "Pimp Your HUD."

The series currently has two parts and is designed to help beginning users get the most out of their HUD.  The videos are just a few minutes long and can help you learn about useful features that even someone using HM2 for a while might not know about.

As you may know, MTV had a famous video series about a decade ago called "Pimp My Ride."  There are tons of similarities between this series and Holdem Manager's "Pimp Your HUD."  For example, you can buy a car and use it right away or you can buy a car and customize it to your needs and wishes.  Similarly, you can customize your HUD, which is the central theme for these informative videos.

Having your HUD be as easy to look at as possible is important when multi-tabling, as you want to be able to process information quickly.  Part 1 of the "Pimp Your HUD" video series can help you address this by informing you how to add new stats, insert new lines, change the font size, add separator characters, add panels, and add stat padding to your HUD.

Part 1 also addresses the main table HUD overlay, which is responsible for providing overall table stats instead of individual stats.  The video addresses how to include the last three pots in the main table HUD as well as how to add and remove general table stats.  Table stats are important to help you gauge how the overall table is playing to see what style might work best.

Part 2 addresses more advanced customization about how you can pimp your HUD.  Adding a little color to your HUD is not only stylish, but can also help you quickly identify important information you might need while multi-tabling online poker.  The main color-related themes covered include color-coding stats, pop-up stats, and pots over a certain number of big blinds.  Part 2 also presents how to utilize overhang pixels and lock a HUD layout.

If you are already using Holdem Manager 2, there is no reason why you shouldn’t check out this video series on the HM2 blog.  The videos are quick and informative and can help you get the most out of your HUD.  Making your HUD more efficient should save you time with decision-making on the tables.  Every second saved means you might be able to add more tables while playing, which in turn should increase any profitable player's earnings per hour.
