Poker-related podcasts are a great way not only to catch up on some gossip, but also learn a thing or two.  The training site Tournament Poker Edge hosts many poker strategy- and gossip-related podcasts and maybe the best part about them is that they are free regardless of whether you are a member of the community.

Regardless of whether it's gossip-focused or strategy-focused, the podcasts at Tournament Poker Edge should be able to teach almost all poker players something.  The training site's latest strategy podcast involves the usual hosts and Tournament Poker Edge founders Derek "Killingbird" Tenbusch and "RonFezBuddy" in a two-hour audio clip.

In this podcast, the duo discusses their upcoming trip to the Punta Cana Poker Classic.  They then invite Tournament Poker Edge instructors Casey "bigdogpckt5s" Jarzabek and Marc "aznAllin007" Alioto to join in on the conversation and discuss the former's wedding, tilt management, and a variety of other topics.  The strategy portion of the podcast is a detailed discussion on a hand in an online high roller tournament.

Another recent podcast at Tournament Poker Edge is a 52-minute segment of "The Chip Herm Show."  Usually, it is Mark "Dipthrong" Herm asking the questions to guests on his show; however, this time around the tables are turned with "Killingbird" asking the questions for "Dipthrong" to answer.

"Dipthrong" answers questions about his rediscovered love of poker, the mental aspects of the game, and his life in general.

"Midstakes Living" also has a brand new podcast.  As the title suggests, this podcast is focused on players playing medium stakes.

We asked "Killingbird" for his thoughts on this podcast.  He explained, "This edition of 'Midstakes Living' was a great one since I had been wanting to get 'Battler33' on our podcast for a long time.  He is a bit of an 'enigma' in the poker world.  He plays super unconventionally and it was great to pick his brain.  It was interesting that not only does he not use a HUD, but he literally did not even know what the numbers on the HUD meant.  He is the definition of a feel player and relies so much on intuition and putting his opponents in awkward spots.  One of my favorite podcast episodes for sure!"

We also asked "Killingbird" what other podcasts he listens to and why.  He told PokerSoftware, "I listen to a ton of podcasts, including several poker podcasts.  Some I listen to purely for entertainment value like the 2+2 Pokercast.  But some, like the Thinking Poker Podcast, are great learning tools.  And they are great because unlike videos, you can consume them while driving, walking, or any other time you can't be starting at a screen."

You can check out all of the podcasts by visiting Tournament Poker Edge.  You can also make sure you never miss a Tournament Poker Edge podcast by subscribing via an RSS feed or via the iTunes store.  They are absolutely free, so whether you want to be entertained, learn a thing or two, or both, you should check tHEM out.
