SNG Wizard is a popular program that serves as a training tool for players in smaller field tournaments. The software comes with an ICM calculator in order to find out what the right play is during a tournament quickly. There's a great tutorial for new users and a very straightforward and easy-to-use graphic interface. Included with it are quizzes, which will help turn users into lean, mean, SNG grinding machines.
SNG Wizard is part of the Recommended Software program here at PokerSoftware.com and supports sites such as Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars, PartyPoker, and the CEREUS Network. The cost of the program is $99, which provides unlimited use. Payments are accepted via Google Checkout, PayPal, or funds transfer on PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker.
As part of their commitment to their customers, the developers behind SNG Wizard release regular updates for users to download. Release 1.0.1.179 was rolled out a few months ago and included a custom opponent modeling feature to handle more hand states. There was also an updated iPoker parser in order to read hand histories properly. Finally, there were four bug fixes related to removing unused structures from PokerStars and updating the quiz mode.
Only a few weeks later, Version 1.0.1.183 was released, which included a new File Manager. Opening a tournament folder would display the File Manager, which allows users to select hand history files to import. There were also opponent modeling adjustments made, along with five minor bug fixes to account for importing issues.
Version 1.0.1.190 included a Hand Range survey. This new feature presents a series of sample hands and asks users to estimate the range of a particular opponent. Each survey targets a specific tournament type and buy-in. In addition to that feature, there was the addition of OnGame five-max tournament structure support and updates that ensured that PartyPoker hands would be updated.

A few days later, Version 1.0.1.194 was released and included Default Edge enhancements, which are now completely customizable. The new edge editor allows users to select predefined edges that match their style of play or create a custom profile.
Version 1.0.1.197 solved four lingering bugs. The first fix was for a PokerStars Match Round import. The second fix was for an updated game chart when the Default Edge was overridden. The third fix was for anonymous player names being used in the game chart and hand range picker. The last fix was for an ordering problem in tournament view for OnGame hands.
Message board hand importing was the major new feature for update 1.0.1.198, which was released at the end of August. SNG Wizard can import most hand histories that have been converted to a readable format and posted on various message boards. This allowed players to bring in hands from friends or around the internet for study.
The last update release, Version 1.0.1.206 released on October 6th, had only one bug fix. The patch took care of a null pointer error when creating a new game.
As more updates are released for this popular program, PokerSoftware.com will alert users via featured stories and updates in our news section. Be sure to read about other SNG tools.
