PokerTracker EPT Contest Sends Micro-Stakes Grinder to San Remo

The popular poker tracking software PokerTracker has been running a unique European Poker Tour sweepstakes that awarded one lucky winner a package worth almost €7,000.  The big winner received an entry into the EPT San Remo Main Event and €2,000 in spending money.  PokerTracker is a proud sponsor of this year's EPT and was thrilled to present one lucky user of its software a once-in-a-lifetime experience to play against the biggest names in the game.

The results of the sweepstakes are in and micro-stakes online player Oleg Lichii (pictured) from Chisinau, Moldova has already packed his bags and is in San Remo, Italy compliments of PokerTracker.  Lichii is a 21-year-old university student primarily playing on PokerStars under the screen name Leackey92.  Based off his comments to PokerTracker, this is a dream come true for him.

"When I downloaded the demo version, I saw the information about the San Remo trip for some lucky guy, so I decided to register. I wasn't expecting to win since I've never won any kind of lottery, but when I saw the message, I couldn't believe my eyes and my dream actually came true. Thank you, PokerTracker," said Lichii.

It was a very close call for Lichii to claim his prize. There was a 72-hour deadline to claim the coveted prize and Lichii almost missed it since the message notifying him of his win was in his spam folder.  If Lichii had not looked in his spam folder, PokerTracker would have been forced to select another winner, with Lichii forfeiting this once-in-a-lifetime package.

PokerTracker's Steve McLoughlin was thrilled that Lichii made the deadline in time.  He told PokerSoftware, "It was a sweat to the finish.  We couldn't be happier for him and we hope he thoroughly enjoys San Remo and wins the EPT San Remo Main Event."
