An open source program that tracks your results when you play online, freepokerdb is currently in alpha testing. The program currently supports Hold’em, Omaha, Stud, and Razz for cash games, sit and go tournaments, and multi-table tournaments. Given that the program is only in alpha testing, additional features and other capabilities will be on their way in the future and not everything is fully-functional right now. In the meantime, let’s take a look at how the freepokerdb can help improve your game as we provide an overview of it for PokerSoftware.com

Glancing through the SourceForge forums, users of the software have encountered a few issues, but again the software is still in the alpha testing phase. Common speed bumps include difficulty loading data into the HUD, problems relating to installation, and the software freezing while importing hands.
If the project is ultimately successful, it will be a big sigh of relief to Mac software users as well as aficionados of Razz. It would become one of the only database programs available for non-Hold’em games and is one of the most extensive independent projects attempted in the industry in recent memory. Additional features that have been requested by its users include a Fish Finder, a Mac HUD, changes to the SQL interface, and tournament support for Full Tilt Poker.
We reached out to the program’s developers in order to get their thoughts. We’ll have an update if we receive one.
So what do you think? Would you consider using this program? What other features would you want to see added? Visit the official thread in the Poker Software Discussion Forum and start chatting about the freepokerdb.
