There’s an incredible amount of information to be found in Poker Academy Pro. As soon as you enter the main lobby, you’re greeted with a variety of ring games and tournaments to play in. Ring games vary in size (short-handed tables are a staple), skill (you can square off against weak or tough AI opponents), and type (limit or no limit). Poker Academy Pro’s tournaments feature those that you’d find on the virtual felts of Party, Stars, and UB.

 

All the action in Poker Academy Pro is you versus a formidable lineup of AI bots. Fortunately enough, you’re armed with a wealth of statistics to overcome your opponents. Your hand value, hand strength, and pot odds are displayed at all times, so you’re never too far from that vital information. A special adviser can assist you in deciding whether to call, raise, or get out of the way, pumping out the exact percentage of the time you should pursue each course of action. A transcript tells you all of the action from a particular hand.

 

At any given moment, you can bring up Poker Academy Pro’s showdown calculator, which is a tool that allows you to weigh your hand against those of your opponents. Bringing up the action from the current hand is quite simple and the simulation takes just a few seconds to run.
