Poker Better Full Review

Knowing how much to bet is as critical a skill as any in the world of poker.  If you don’t know how much you should be raising or betting, you could be costing yourself money at the tables and even giving away the strength of your hand to experienced players.  Poker Better is a unique web-based tool that aims to aid you in bet sizing throughout a hand.  The tool will tell you the appropriate amount to bet depending on what you want to do, whether it’s make a squeeze play pre-flop, make a standard bet on the turn, or any of the other possibilities that come up in a hand.

There is no installation for this program since it’s web-based, which is really convenient if you play on different computer systems or rotate between Mac and PC environments.  Simply sign up and you are ready to go.  You will also receive access to a large library of tutorial videos that show deep runs in tournaments using the calculation tool.  These videos can be a real help to novice players getting their feet wet in the world of tournament poker and give a real-world example of how to use the tool properly.

PokerBetter will load in a browser window and have four major sections to interact with: Pre-flop, Post-flop, Turn, and River.  Within the Pre-flop area, there are boxes for making a raise, early/no antes, and area to make 3bets and squeeze plays.  In the Post-flop area, there is a box to re-raise a bet or check-raise and then below that are three boxes to continuation bet, bluff, or do a trap bet.  Here's the Pre-Flop view:

In the Turn section, there are boxes for making a standard bet, bluff, or draw.  Finally, on the river, there are boxes for making a value bet, bluff, or a blocking bet.  To interact with the box, type in the big blind amount, opponent’s raise, or the pot amount (all boxes are labeled to make this obvious).  Here's the river view:

Overall, this is a pretty useful tool for players.  If you are new to the world of online tournament poker, this is a very helpful tool to help you figure out how much to bet in different situations.  For more experienced players, it can still be a useful resource, so it comes recommend and is definitely worth a try.

PokerBetter has just lowered its price to $19.95. However, a wealth of features are currently in development, so a price increase may come soon.
