StoxEV is the first real entry into a new class of poker odds calculators. This program uses a decision tree process, much like a flowchart for poker, where you can enter all the information about a hand. If your estimates on your opponents' play are accurate, the program can give you exact information on how to proceed.
While StoxEV does many other calculations, including finding correct all-in ranges and exploitable strategies, it takes a little time to learn to use. The organization is fairly intuitive, but this is a type of program that most of us are not accustomed to and there are a lot of different pieces of information to enter.
We would love to see a better graphic interface, more detailed instructions for use, and videos using the program to help everyone understand it and get the most out of it. Unfortunately, we probably won't see those things anytime soon because this is a free program and Stox knows that even a perfect version of a program like this one just wouldn't sell well enough to make it worthwhile. For now, we will just be thankful that we have a powerful analysis program that doesn't cost us a nickel.
